Hi,

I just received my VAMO yesterday and have an issue.. I can't use the thing with just a single 18350 for some reason.. it works fine with 2 18250's stacked.
When I just try it with one battery, it displays 02 and then shuts off. I've tried it with several atty's and nothing works in single small battery mode

Anyone know what the 02 error is supposed to mean?

I saw that, BUT.. I can't see that being the case, as everything works (ie. changing voltage/wattage and other settings) with a single battery UNTIL you hit the power button to start vaping. then after a sec or two it will display 02 and shut off.. I even checked the ohm's via the vamo on all my attys in single 18350 mode and it displays ok until you try to vape..

What's the resistance on the coil?

What charger are you using? What is the manufacturer of the 18350 batt? How many volts does is read at a full charge with both batteries in the unit? Can you obtain the volts fully charged in single mode?

I use both the AW & Efest with no issues in a single mode, in fact, my AWs have been well used for over a year in another mod.

It's the Charger and Batteries that came with the kit.. "Includes 2ct. ReChargeable ICR 18350 900mAh Safe Batteries, Wall Charger.."
See pics below..
At full charge it reads 8.4v with both batteries. In single mode it displays 4.2v

mhertal, it might be the protection circuit on the battery is tripping. My vamo doesn't work with a single trustfire 18350 either. I don't have any IMR or effests or panasonics to try it out, but I'm pretty sure for me the battery just can't handle this mod. I can put the battery in and the lights go on, I can check resistance and wattage, I can adjust wattage, but as soon as I hit the fire button it shuts off. I'll probably get some of the newer 18350s eventually but I like the life of 18650s so this doesn't bother me.

Those are ICR batteries and not high drain IMR batteries, assuming the battery can't handle the drain of the Vamo, shouldn't it at least fire at lower wattage/voltages if that were the problem ? What voltage/wattage are you trying to use, have you tried the lowest settings to test ?

They are not protected batteries.. I do have some protected 18650's but they don't work at all

I've tried starting at 3 watts.. No go.. I have a bunch of other batteries coming, we'll see what they do
