i wanted to use my McCormick pure vanilla extract for a batch of juice. i tried just using glycerine and vanilla together.. tasted kind of bad. anyone know how to get it to taste right? i was thinking of boiling out the alcohol to see if that had any effect.
i have tried and it does not smell like vanilla it does not taste like vanilla and it end up clogging the atty, forget the mccormick.

if any one has a trick I would be interested too,

i was googling it a few weeks ago. those that made their own would get vanilla beans and toss them into vodka to extract the vanilla flavor. i think it takes 6 weeks to extract the most amount of flavor from the beans.
though i figure that's what McCormic did, being that it says "pure" and using alcohol to extract flavor is how people tend to do it with things like this.
those people were doing that for vaping though.

I went the vanilla extract routine myself....Got some pure generic extract from Whole Foods....Didn't work....Just tasted very bad....Of course, never tried the vanilla bean routine, but with the cost of real vanilla beans, don't know if I would want to try it that
bad....I have found Barvarian Cream from Gormet Vapor that works for me....
Enjoy....

I have used McCormicks clear imitation Vanilla. Not real strong and has a slightly off taste, but not bad, could be a little sweeter. Using it at 10%. Been using it with the same atty in my Volcano for a week or so, and not had a real problem with clogging.

I would like to find a better Vanilla, but until I do, this is ok.

I found a bottle of No Name 'pure' vanilla extract, ingredients:
water, alcohol, sugar, vanilla bean extractives.

I mixed 2 carts worth of eliquid 50/50 of VG & PG with about 10-12% of the vanilla extract. The vape wasn't bad at all, the first few vapes had a bit of an alcohol after taste but after a few more vapes it was good. I did notice the wick under the bridge was brown (I'm guessing from the sugar) when changing 1 cart to the second one. While I was vaping on my eGo I would notice after 2 draws (a good 15-20 seconds in between draws) the cone covering the atty as pretty warm and I would have to wait another minute or so until the cone was cool to the touch (again this probably from the sugar)

I was wondering if I constantly use of the DIY vanilla eliquid would the build up of the sugar present from the extract ruin the atty?
Would I have to clean out the atty every night?

The good part of that is that sugar is water soluble and you can clean off most of it with a hot water rinse. The part that turns to caramel might just steam off if you do a wet burn when it is still damp and then do the hot water rinse again.

Or, you could just find some vanilla flavor from an E-cig supplier and mix with that.

McCormick pure vanilla extract added to premixed PG worked fine.

PS Imitation is not rec.

VG could be the cause of overheating, I dilute the vg 3+1

Yes, liscab, this would also make sense as the atty is working a bit harder to heat the eliquid.

After a few vapes it actually tasted good :)

Yes, after I vapes the 2 carts that I just made, I did the highping atty cleaning well only 3xs and did a couple of dry/wet burns until the atty wasn't crackeling any more, using the atty today without any after taste.
