Vanilla Mod lock ring stuck

I have an authentic copper vanilla mod with the brass top cap and brass bottom cap. The lock ring has been stuck for over a week. I tried running hot wire on it to try to loosen the button since it works when my rdas get stuck on my top cap. I tried freezing it, using a rubber grip, a wet towel for grip and duck tape and took it apart and tapped the switch hoping iy would losen up but nothing works.

Anyone else have this problem?

Happens to me on my copperbond once in a while. Since it's reversed thread I can usually get it unstuck with a little effort. If you manage to get it apart, I would recommend a little dialectic grease.

Yes it is. Just wash it off afterwards

Edit: I can't read sometimes... WD-40 works good but like other poster said... wash thoroughly after.

Thanks, I went to Lowes but they only had the larger 2 pack left so I got a big bottle of Blaster PB penetrating catalyst that was rated good on the Lowes website and on the blaster website said it was safe for all metals and it was more than half the price as much as the smaller bottle.

Hope this is really safe as the website says?

Try sticking it in the freezer. Pb blaster should be fine, just rinse thoroughly to be safe

Tried the freezing it @least 3-4x. I'm planning on washing it with dishwashing soap.

Mine gets stuck occasionally. I use a rag and 3 pairs of channel locks. Be careful to not scratch or compress the ring.

2 rags and 2 channel locks. It'll fixer fight up.

Thanks everyone I got it fixed one of my local b&m got it unstuck using 2 plier/vice grip like things made with some type of rubber where it grips (don't know how to describe never seen them before) but it's working now and didn't leave any marks on the mod.
