Ok, so based on recommendations in another thread I got my equipment and juice. I used to smoke ultra lights 1 - 2 packs per day. I purchased 6mg juice. Question is how many ml a day should equal about a pack and a half per day? I want to make sure my nicotine intake is not going up as I would like to on my next order get both the 6mg and 0 mg and mix them to get 3 mg to slowly ween myself off nicotine.

Too low.... I was an ultralight smoker... pack a day.

I Vape 16mg 100%VG...

When I started vaping I started with 18mg and it was a bit strong, plus I discovered I was sensitive to PG...

After switching to VG and dropping just a tad on the Nic... this is my sweet spot.... I definitely would not suggest lower than 12mg

You're not going to get a cut and dry answer to this question, just too many variables to consider. The best way to tell is to listen to your body, it will let you know if you aren't getting enough or getting too much. 6mg seems to be a bit low to me, for somebody just coming off cigs, regardless if they were ultralights. I'd get some 18mg to go along with the 6&0mg just to be safe. You can mix 18 & 0 in different ratios to get 6mg or lower. I'd just rather have the option of higher nic handy in case it's needed. I'd rather see it sit there and not be used, than see the 6mg not be enough and you are down at the QuickMart getting a pack of cigs.

Seems low to me too. I didn't smoke much, about 5 cigs a day and I started with 12 mg. but I was vaping all damn day, I am good at about 16mg. too. I take a few puffs and put the thing away. I would go higher to start personally because vaping is just different in how if feels when it delivers the nic, to me anyway. It doesn't give you a buzz like a smoke and you may be have nic fits without enough. Just my noob 2 cents. I haven't smoked since I got my ecig 2.5 months ago. It took a while to figure out the right things I needed to not be frustrated but uping the nic would be the first suggestion. Great question though. Good luck!!!! :)

If your ~32 light cigs a day = ~25mg nicotine per day (total absorbed) and you had, say, 12mg/ml juice (which you only absorb about 50% of the nicotine), you should expect to go through about 4ml a day to get the same amount of nicotine.

You would probably want to get some higher strength juice. I was only smoking 1/4-1/2 pack a day med/strong smokes and I'm vaping 18mg juice. I get my fix quicker that way with using less juice :)

Based on the math described above...

32 cigs would be 25mg of nic/day.

Vaping is not as efficient, for every ml of 6mg juice you absorb about 3mg of nic.

So by my math, too much nic is not really a danger at 6mg... you'd need to vape like 8+ ml a day... to even equal what you got from smoking.... I'd be more concerned about possible dehydration vaping that much. :)

I remember when I first started vaping even the 6mg juice would get me nicotine sick after 2 or 3 puffs (I used to smoke about a half pack a day). But it was amazing just how fast I adapted to it, and developed a tolerance. Within a week I had moved up to 12mg and then onto 18 about a month later. I now vape 24mg and chainpuff all day without even a hint of a nicotine "buzz".

I have tried sitting down and figuring out how many mg in a pack of smokes and the mg/ml and ml you would need in a day and I was always off, usually anywhere from 2-4mg and still to this day can't figure it out. But I was also using the .7-1.4mg on the pack as a guide and we all know its not accurate. I have figured out that it gives a pretty good guess as to what mg to start using though. 1.4mg per smoke is a total of 35mg in a pack divide by 18mg gives me 1.94ml of fluid per day. With most posts I have ready the common amount for most people seem to range between 2-4ml per day anywhere from 12mg up to 24mg. With mixing fluid we are more accurate in determining the mg/ml and intake amounts compared to normal cigs, everyone smokes different the same players I smoke I might get 2.4mg and you might get 1.8mg and everyone vapes different, so the same applies. out of a cig we usually get .2mg from a cig, when we vape the same (equivalent) we only take in .15mg we actually take in less nic from vaping than we do from smoking. I found out of all the people I make fluid for the starting range for most was between 16-24mg and that is a wide range and usually 18 is the most common vaping between 1.6-3 ml a day. All this is; basically a good starting guide thats it ....

I currently vape 8-12 mg usually up to 3ml a day
