Vapage Hybrid 'Universal' Atomizer

Has anyone else used a recent batch of these with decent results? I received mine last week and here are my first impressions.

Downright horrible.

I recently purchased a 2 pack of Universal atomizers. I decided to purchase these after reading many positive reviews on the hybrid bottom feeder atomizers on ECF.

I am highly disappointed with these atomizers. For $7-$8 each they preform worse than many $3 attys I have purchased.

Even when flooded they glow red.

On one of the atties about 1/3rd of the coil glows when fired, even when wet.

On the second, which I just tried, I soaked with a 60/40 eliquid for 15 minutes (about 8-9 drops) and then added a few more before I fired it. The ENTIRE COIL GLOWED RED. I flooded the atty, thinking that maybe it was too dry (which should not have been the case) and it still glowed red.

I am not sure whats going on here but I had so much liquid added that it was leaking out of the atty and all over my PV, while after only a half second of vaping it still glowed red.

I am pretty sure the coil is not even touching the wick on this second atty. I cant see the coil, the wick comes out one this one and lays on top of it. I just see a red glow right when I hit the switch and immediately stop firing it.

I am using these on a 3.7v battery using a Maxi Roughstack.

At this point, I believe these were a huge waste of $20 and my atomizer budget. I hope these were just a bad batch and the Vapage takes care of it.

I can't comment on the Vapage atties but If you want hands down good atomizers then get cisco spec, HH .357, ikenvape or genuine joytech atomizers. Sorry the Vapage atties didn't work out for you...sounds like they are way too low ohms or defected under ohm for your set-up.

I love the Cisco spec atties, just wanted to try something new. If Vapage doesn't replace them for me with a better batch those are what I am going to keep using. (Using my LR 1.5 Cisco atm)

I had the same issue with the coil glowing red when it has plenty of juice and crappy taste because of it.I took a toothpick and gently pushed down where it was red then fired it then pushed again if it still glowed red.The coil was off the wick but once I fixed it these attys gave me some of the best flavor I have every had.

I got a PM from Brian at Vapage who told me to do the same thing with a screwdriver. It did work to stop the glow and he also said he would send me a new batch to show me that it is a good product. Great customer service and I hope to do business with them again. Ill let you all know how the new ones turn out.

Hey Bradly - I just got two of the universals in myself (I ordered them along with 2 of the hybrid BF's for my VMOD). Did yours come with primer fluid? I was thinking they wouldn't, but I'm getting an odd taste off of them. So far no issues with the coil.

At any rate - if you end up happy with these, I'd recommend looking at the VMOD itself, I'm LOVING mine so far, especially with the 1.5 hybrid BF's I got in today.

The BF's are really good attys,I use them on a few of my mods and they have great flavor and vapor.They also have a nice light airy draw when used on mods other than the Vmod.

I just received my replacements in the mail.... and I am astonished. I was sent more then I originally ordered with both 1.5 and 2.0 ohm versions. For that reason alone I will always recommend Vapage, they take GREAT care of their customers.

I threw in a 2.0 ohm atty right on my new 3.7v box mod (I finished only 15 minutes ago, right before the atties arrived).

WOW.

The 2.0 versions seem to have even more vapor and th then the original 1.5's I ordered. No glowing at all and massive amounts of great tasting vapor.

The other thing I have noticed about these Universal Atomizers is that they do not leak. Like, at all.... Every other atomizer I have tried to date has some sore of leaking if you add just a little to much liquid.

Well, I will keep putting these to the test but so far I am definitely impressed with the quality of the replacement product and their customer service.

Now time to try the 2.0's at 5v

I'm glad it worked out for you. Personally, I don't like the hybrid atomizers. Vapage has excellent customer service and will take care of all issues. For an excellent atomizer, I suggest getting a dual coil atomizer from cloudsofvapor.com. It's what I call vaping at it's finest.

The duals are definitely on my list of atties to try.

On another note I tried one of the 1.5ohm replacements sent, still glows red (a small amount of glow underneath the wick). The 2.0ohm I tried is awesome, and defiantly something I will buy again, but the 1.5's I will pass on.

Been breaking in the 2.0 though, and the flavor is getting even better, has the perfect amount of heat at 3.7v and has OUTSTANDING vapor.

The 2.0 is my favorite too with their non bottom feeding attys.All the 1.5's I had just didn't seem to have near the flavor of the 2.0

I have no luck with vapage atties or their customer service.

I fin the atties to have to airy of a draw and have received several incorrect orders from them

I ordered 2 2.0 from Clouds of Vapor. They sent me 1.5s and when I inquired about it he said they were out of stock on the 2.0s. Really wanted the 2.0s and wish they hadn't sent me the 1.5s instead. At the very least, they should have sent an e-mail asking me what I wanted to do. They did tell me they were expecting more 2.0s later in the week and asked me if I wanted to wait and I agreed to that but it's been a few weeks now and I'm still waiting.

The 1.5s do hit hard, but flavor isn't quite there. They also leak, and leak bad if you accidentally add 4 drops. Once they leak, you pretty much need to blow them out. Leaking isn't too bad if you only add three but sometimes my juice bottles have a mind of their own and 3 drops really don't last that long in these. At this point, I'm not sure if I'd spend more money to try the 2.0s.

Also, the draw seems to vary widely with the thickness of the juice. Sometimes the draw is great but other times it's way too tight.

I agree that they hit had and the flavor is nothing like what you get off of Cisco spec attys. I dropped in a new 2.0 today and got absolutely no draw, the air flow holes are somehow clogged. Now I am using my third of the 2.0 I received.

I still have had no leaking issues unless I completely flood the attys. Using a 50/50 juice atm, and no issues.

The atomizers are just not consistent which makes me hesitate to spend money on them. Ill try the next version, but this generation isn't worth it.
