Hi lizards! I've got good news and bad news. Good - Like I said earlier, I got my Phoenix in. Bad news, I'm having a taste-less day, where nothing tastes good! I can't even taste my Green Monster vaping at 4.8v on 1.5 DC's! I'm guzzling water, vaping my Menthol, and I've fixing a pot of Head-Sweating Chili! :D Oh, and of course I've already brushed my teeth and gargled 3 times already! It's like having a big bowl of Ben & Jerry's New York Double Chunk sitting in front of you in a locked glass box!

The Ben & Jerry's comparison is the best way to express how terrible it is when you lose you taste. I lost mine for 4 days after I had just started. I was miserable. I hope your taste buds stop the strike soon!

I've had a couple of those days lately, Reidus,,, they surely do suck! Geez, all that good juice sitting around and nothing,,, I mean nothing! tastes good. That's usually when I go on a juice buying spree. Did I tell you I ordered from AltCig?? Their Vanilla Love really is the best I've found. Oh yeah, I think I mentioned that

Ohhh i love Friday.. work is done, not that it was a horrible week, but I fixed myself a little whipped cream vodka and diet coke, got some HHV Dragon's Fire on my Rocket, hubby is working night shift so it's just me and the cats... AHHHHHHHHHHH!

So I think I've amassed enough juice to get me through two weeks of vacation travels.. now I'm starting to worry about cartos and tanks... you know, I had one tank carto that I bought from HHV and it lasted over a month before the Just Peachy started tasting off.. over a month!! But then I got another one that only lasted a few days before it started flooding. I think I need to hop on over to DV and check out those Kanger T2s... (I think that's right, I better scroll back and double check!)

That flowery donut tip is awesome!!! I get the emails from Sagewood,, I must get one! At least one.. hmmmmm, maybe two. I need to work some more overtime..

Hey, don't look at me! I'm pretty much satisfied with what I've got as well! I love my big boys (Buzz and my Lavatube, which I haven't come up with a name fore) and my twists and my woodys. I've got tanks and clearo's for all of them. I've even got my trippy tip addiction under control for now anyway. Freddy's started doing some custom work, like this:

Once he's got those up and running, all bets are off!
I've even found a replacement for my Boges, which I've been unhappy with lately. CCV has resurecctors the same size as the Boges. I've order 15 of those, so I should be done there as well.
Anyway, hope y'all are having a great AM!

****eyes popping out of my head, tounge hanging out of my mouth*** oh excuse me while I wipe the drool from my mouth!!

My precious!!!

True to that! Oh and let me know how that B&W goes for ya now that it has steeped.

Oh yea... I just tried it again tonight.... Definitely benefited from steeping! Much better than day one! It was pretty good but was way better with adding a couple drops of cupcake city! If you like Oreo cookies I say get it and a bit of cupcake city, let it steep and you got a winner!

Wait... Umm... You're encouraging me to spend LESS money on vape gear?!?! * gazes around the room with a confused look * Which thread am I in again??

Seriously though, it's not about the funds being short (I'm extremely fortunate to have a good paying job and few responsibilities). I think it really is about finally finding stuff that really works for me. The 3ohm single coil cartos in glass tanks on Precious, the 1.7ohm resurrectors in the wood tank on Woody, the twists with SR T2s, and my other eGo batteries with LR T2s and CE3s. This stuff just works and works well day in and day out. Now I can relax a bit, sit back and enjoy, and just do the restock thing with the occasional purchase of something shiny and new like the clean tank.

Don't get me wrong... I'm still going to pursue my collections of glass tanks, Cherry Vape drip tips (I seem to really like them), and new e-juice flavors. I'm just feeling much more sated as of late, so it's turning from less of an obsession and into more of a leisure activity.

Besides, I can always live vicariously through the rest of y'all! :D

I know, I've just blown your minds lol Sometimes being forced onto a budget is kind of nice & makes you assess what you already have & how much is really needed. The Iron Monkey imposed budget is likely to end very soon, but I still think my GAS (hahaha) has slowed & I don't foresee it picking up again, at least not in the frenzied way it was before. It's good thing (I seem to be having a zen period of less is more)

You guys make me laugh!! It does seem like the GAS has slowed a bit for us,,,, well, except for Reidus, maybe :D I think the only gear I'll be buying in the near future might be a couple more Twists.. perhaps a pink one. And I had a little extra cash this week so placed a couple orders with HHV, another small order from Mr E, cuz the Sexy Beach and Mango Melba were pretty darn fantastic. And AltCig is having a 25% off sale on juice (code is 4DaySale and it's good through tonight, I think). Their Vanilla Love is the best vanilla I've found, so got a big bottle of that and a couple smaller ones to try. I haven't tried Alice yet, but it's on my list!

I vaped through a good 3mls of HHV Parrothead last night at work.. some serious yum there! Lightly tart, slightly sweet lime with a creamy undertone that's simply fabulous. And did I mention Dragon's Fire??? Gandalf with honey. These guys have totally changed my mind about tobacco flavors. I'll be trying all of them.

Last trip to the vet today,, I hope! The one that had the UTI has to have her shots now that the infection seems to be cleared up. Cripes, over $200 to the vet this month.. darn cats!!
Vape happy guys, it's Friday!!!!

I want to vape Parrothead if only for the name. Damn all these new vendors with their clever names!!!!
Glad you're enjoying the tobaccos now Luv - funny how tastes change, isn't it??

Crossing my fingers that there are no more vet trips for you for a while - UTIs are no fun for human, I can't imagine they're much fun for our kitties either.

That is gorgeous. Who made that? What site? That is going to give Sagewood a huge run for their money, and I have an idea for a custom that I want done perfectly, so I need to know who made that stunning piece, please! :)

Hope the CCVs are better than the Boge's have been for you recently!

Yowsa - that's no good! Have you tried vaping straight pg/vg with no flavor? Or.... just use up juice you dislike - tis the season :)

Mentioning Ben & Jerry's of any variety is unkind to the girl who isn't allowed to drive & is therefore unable to obtain icecream of any kind at this time (I want B&Js Greek Yogurt Rasp & Dark Chocolate - if you haven't had it, you must......ooooooooooooh heaven in a guilt free tub! Okay, low guilt. Whatever. Or Phish Food. mmmmm... dang it Reidus!!!!!!)

Just thought I'd share something I found....

RedSkyMods is having a contest! The more posts made, the better/bigger the prizes will be!

Contest ends - Sunday night at 10 PM EST

Red Sky Mods - Random Contest

http://http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/324703-red-sky-mods-random-contest-12.html#post6986242

Entered, thanks Mythus! I love RedSkyMods - I have 2 of his caddies from another contest he had & they're fabulous - beautifully crafted, functional and perfect for holding a variety of mods, tanks, atties, juice bottles etc. Love his work, and would love any mod he made (esp the Destroyer II - I love mods that accept a drop in tank! :swoon:)

The Suncoast Vapemeet is tomorrow evening, and I'm counting the hours at this point! I'm going stir crazy stuck in the house, and I miss every one! I missed the last meet because it was just after my surgery & I was still in hospital, so this will be my first meet since VapeStock, which feels like it was a million years ago rather than 2 months! I hope that at some point we can get all of the Vapaholics together for a vapemeet (Preferably VapeStock 2013!) - I think we would all have a blast together, and I can only imagine the amount of gear we'd wind up acquiring at the urging of one another (some of you might need to buy extra suitcases - never fear, the HSN outlet is near :p). I'm not sure how long we'll stay (Iron Monkey is playing chauffeur), but at the very least we'll make an appearance & hopefully make it thru dinner and a drink or two (which might help me stay longer :toast:)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday & had a terrific weekend planned!

Mornin all! I'm a bit better today. Been guzzling water, vaping menthol and made a pot of my famous chili. Hopefully, this will pass soon so I can put my Phoenix through it's paces.

That is a trippy tip. You can now order custom tips and also "artist's choice" tips. Under Artist's choice, you have a variety of selections. The one I posted is a "Staring at the Sun" option. :D Under custom tips, you can select the shape (donut, pillar, etc.) colors and enhancements (adding metal flakes, glass flakes, bumps, etc.).

Pop over to the trippy tip thread; Bert and Freddy has been posting some amazing AC tips they're making.

I've had that happen recently as well, but fortunately it only lasts for about a day and then seems to recover quickly. The other thing I'm experiencing lately is my lungs seem to be going through another "cleansing" period, and I'm coughing a bit when I vape. It happens mostly in the morning, but it's annoying and I'll be glad once I get through it. Love the Ben & Jerry's analogy!

(I think that's right, I better scroll back and double check!)

If you're referring to the new clearos that Reidus and myself have been talking about, then yes, it's the Kanger T2. They seem to have no break-in period, they wick instantly after filling, and to me they have the cleanest taste of any clearo I've tried with the exception of the bottom coil CE3s. As for cartos, I've temporarily given up the Boge 3ohm in favor of the SmokTech single coil 3ohm tank replacement cartos in my glass tanks and they're working great. You can get both the T2 and the SmokTech cartos at DV:

Kanger T2 Rebuildable Clearomizer

Kanger T2 Rebuildable Clearomizer

Tank Replacement single Coil Cartomizer, 3.0 ohms

I really like the "zen" description, and I think that really fits the feeling of finding your pace and an equilibrium with ones vaping needs. It's all about the vape-zen... Brilliant! :D

You're evil, Mac! That's what I like about you!

Well I've spent most of the day reading about rebuilding attys. BTW, I'm loving my Phoenix now that my buds are back! The best thing is that I haven't flooded the atty all day. Of couse, since it holds 15 drops, kinda hard to do. My favorite thing is that you can adjust the tank cap to adjust the draw and the amount of vapor. I've been using it to try out several of my new purchases from Heather. My favorite of the bunch is probably the mocha java smooth, the first coffee flavor I really like. Followed closely by the Mayan Apocalypse. my biggest surprise; I actually enjoy her tobacco's on it. I haven't really enjoyed any of them thus far.

Reidus - How's the Phoenix compared to standard dripping atomizers as far as flavor goes? DV just got in a clone of the Phoenix and I was intrigued, but it if mutes flavor at all I'm going to stick to the dripping attys for flavor testing.

I can't really give you a fair test yet. I"m not impressed with the coil that's on it. It's definitely muted compared with my stardust or the T2. It's also got a tighter draw. I'm gonna attempt to build a new one tomorrow. :D I will say though that I haven't flooded my atty at all today! I'll also say that a lot of the folks reviewing it compares it favorably with the hh357.

Glen... thanks for the links. I'm going to go over and order one of those Kangers, and a bunch of the 3.0 single coil tank cartos. I'm so darn afraid of running out of stuff. Fairly certain I won't run out of vapable juice, but the hardware... sheesh, I worry like crazy over that!! It's kinda stupid, but I can't help it! I cleaned out my toolbox tonight, took inventory. I've got stuff,,, but always feel like it's never enough. Got rid of some icky juices... stuff I mixed together that didn't turn out very well.. I have a hard time throwing stuff out though..

Mac,,, I love the engraving!!! Hey, you gotta find SOME way to keep up with the spending around here!

Reidus, you're a brave man.. rebuildable atty.. all I can say is no thank you. I just really hate having to fiddle with stuff. I did watch a really good video last night on how to dry burn.. that's about as fiddly as I want to get. And I'm really liking the mopheads I got from HHV,,, hopefully I can attempt a dry burn when necessary and not pop the coil... we'll see about that!

Have a great night lizards... I gotta hop on over to DV :D

Oh wait.... quick question. And you're going to think I'm completely stupid.. but correct me if I'm wrong. If I order the standard rez ( the 2.3-2.6) I can use the higher voltages, right? And if I order the LR, that would work better on the regular Ego's.. like my Epower and Apollo E2. Those two both meter out at right around 3.7. The standard rez won't work all that great on the regular Egos... correct???

Luv, I don't think of it as being brave, just curious. I consider the Phoenix to be lagniappe (a local term; it means a little something extra). After all, I got a lavatube and 2 AWR 18650's for $45! And the seller sent me the materials I need to make a new setup. And since I have the necessary tools, I figure WTH!
And to answer your question; yes, LR genereally work better on 3.7v devices, where SR is better at higher voltages.

All up in your grill..
1.7 to 3.2 ohms is the acceptable range for an e-power.

Personally I have found that single coil resistors below 2ohm degrade batteries quicker. If you want lower then 2ohm at 3.7 use a dual coil. Also 2.7 is fine up to 5 volts with the caveat that thinner juices and certain flavors may taste burnt above 4.8. If you want to go above 5 volts you need a minimum of 3ohms. I hope that helps. I'd link to a guide for you but am not allowed to..

Actually, this is a very good question. It's been my experience that not all devices at the same resistance work the same due to many variables. For instance, the SR heads that came with my T2s are measuring at about 2.8ohms and I use them at about 4v for lighter juices and 4.4v for heavier flavors. The LR heads measure at about 2ohms, and I've been using them on my 3.3v regulated eGo batteries where the performance seems spot on for the few flavors I've tried. On the other hand, the Thor I have (Vision 2.0 clone) measures at about 2.4ohms and I have to run it at the same voltages as the 2.8ohm T2 to get similar vapor production (flavor is not comparable in my opinion). For carto tanks, I have to bump up the voltage more on similar resistances to unlock the flavor of the juice.

My recommendation is that if you have an eGo Twist or other VV device with an eGo connection, get the SR version and run it between 4v and 4.5v depending on the juice you're vaping. Also keep in mind that these are medium wick devices and they do require tipping once the juice get to about half a tank, but other than that there is no "fiddle" factor that I've found with these.
