What in the world does need have to do with it?
As far as quitting smoking, I haven't. It's always there and constantly reminding me of that fact. But I've decided not to smoke one today.
I like that. For me, it's still: "I've decided not to smoke one right now."

For most that is just how it will always be.....no matter what the drug of choice.
Forbid something, or wrap it in shame, and it becomes exponentially more appealing. I think it helped me immensely that I never made myself any promises or resolutions, or incorporated it into a quit smoking regime mindset. I just liked 'em better. So Born's video is invaluable.

I guess you're right.
... More things I didn't need but just HAD TO HAVE; this is getting ridiculous, where the hell's the toll free number for Vape-Anon anyway? I can't keep hanging on this subforum, you are ALL ENABLERS!![]()
You see, those who take five puffs and are done with analogs are the lucky ones. They have every right to celebrate and rejoice and have a parade and fanfares. I envy them and their triumph over the NicoDemon is a phenomenal achievement. But there are others, like me, who still have doubts. We puff enthusiastically, but keep a pack of analogs handy. We are unable to cut the cord. We read the success stories and begin to wonder...what's wrong with me, why can't I just quit? And all the bad memories of previous quit attempts slowly come back to haunt us. Gums, patches, Zyban, Chantix--all failures.
Born, I consider myself something of a success story, I'm down to 4-6 analogs a day, I can now go for hours without one, but I'm not cig-free. Just hours before watching your video I bought two packs of analogs (not a carton, though, as I usually do) because I just had to have them around. I wasn't proud of it. After watching your video, I went right back to vaping with renewed hope and determination.
Those two packs are still in my drawer. One has been opened and is missing a few cigs. But I don't feel lousy about it anymore. Thank you.
Thanks, Yanks, for sharing your story . . . I decided to count the cigs I didn't smoke, rather than those I did. The numbers just look much better this way.
And say hi to NY, wherever you are. I used to live in Manhattan, in Chelsea. Three blocks from the Chelsea Hotel. I still miss it, after 21 years in SoCal.
