Forgot to mention about liquids and such. Since I have small kids in the house, I am still figuring out how to store the stuff away from them. I carry a case around the house with me. I have a spare pv, and a small bottle of liquid in it. My case is zippered shut so nothing falls out, and it stays in my sight all the time. On top of my fridge, I have a small tackle box with my extra atty's, carts, chargers and one 30 ml bottle that I refill my little bottle with. I just ordered a few hundred mls of liquid, so I am looking into getting a tackle box or tool box that I can put a padlock on, or something that comes with a lock. I really should do some searching to see what other people have come up with to keep their stuff
childproof.

My kids are 6, 5, 3, and 1. It's been my experience that all kids pretend smoke when they are around 2, if they live with
smokers. I tell them that it's gross, and tastes nasty, and they don't want to smoke. As I said in my other post, I hope my kids won't remember me smoking, so hopefully it won't be an issue later on.

My SIL has a locked gun box on the highest shelf she has with her juice in it. Her son is 7 and autistic, he's tried several time to get into her stash so this is the route she took.

I know my juice sample pack from Gourmet Vapor came in bottle with "child-proof" caps (6 ml samples). I don't know if you can buy small bottles with CP caps from DIY places.
Something like that may be good for your "day" bottle, and refill it from the locked stash.

Do you vape around your children inside, in the car, etc.....

Why or why not?

I don't. It may or may not be proven to be "second hand" vapor yet, but I'm not going to take the chance letting my little niece or nephew breath in my vapor. I try not to vape if front of anyone who doesn't smoke or vape. Even if it's not dangerous, I still think it is disrespectful. So far, I haven't vaped anywhere that smoking is not allowed.

The only time I am unconfortable vaping is when I'm close to my grand daughter. She is 4 years old and just the other day she saw me vape and said. "Can I do it". I just said "NO" and walked away. Me saying "no" to her is a new experience.

Awwww. My kids are so used to my dad saying no. To just about everything. Man, he's a grump :) My mom, on the other hand, they swear she's perfection. They don't believe any of my stories about her as a MOM. They think she treated us the way she treats them. lol

My grandma used to let us kids do everything. Very easy going & fun lady. My mom & aunt say she was never that way when they were growing up. Why are grandmas so much cooler as a grandma, then a mom? LOL

My kids are all older the youngest is almost 14 and I vape around them. I have found that hiding something makes kids want to do it more. When I smoked I was honest I told them I was stupid for smoking but addicted. I have found that my kids actually learned from my mistake! Gasp! Now I tell em its safer but still has nicotine so I will kick them in the .... if I catch em with one. They have been very supportive.

All my grandparent's (mother & father's side both) smoked, but neither of my parents ever smoked. They can't stand it. They said they hated smelling it and being around it when they were growing up. I guess it skipped a generation, because I ended up a smoker!

But vaping on the other hand, doesn't stink, and has some pretty tasty flavors for e-liquids. It might temp a child if they see something labeled "gooey butter cake" or something "fruity" flavored. I wonder if the FDA will try, and successfully ban all the food flavored e-juices. They made a big fuss over flavored cigarettes saying they were marketed towards children. All these flavor choices are probably fuel for the FDA unfortunately. It would suck if the FDA was successful and banned e-cigs. I'd hate to have to buy my e-liquids in some dark shady alley.

When my kids were about 1 and 3, my mom said she had it all figured out. She said, "I think I love your kids more than I love my own!" I can't imagine my facial expression to that... She says it's different... you love your kids, but there's so much that you HAVE to do for them. Grandkids, there's just so much you WANT to do for (and with) them. I guess I can see how they're more enjoyable that way :)

I always went out onto my balcony to smoke. Partly to keep the smell out of the apartment and partly
not to expose my kids to smoke. Now that I vape, I don't see the need and vape away in front of my
girls (14 + 16). They don't mind and I'm not exposing them to anything harmful.

The most harmful air they get exposed to is the morning air on the way to school filled with car exhaust
fumes!

I think there is a big difference between vaping around a teenager and a small child. The teenager can make their own choice to leave the room or avoid it while a small child or infant has no choice.

There is almost certainly no adverse effects from second hand vape, but I still choose to avoid an even remote risk. My kids are 1 and 3. When they are 11 and 13 I won't care so much
