Funny, whenever I visit a vape shop, it's almost certain that someone there would ask what my Reo was. When I say it's a "Reo" they then exclaim "oh so that's a Reo Grand?". Then they start talking about how cool this little box looks.

So it seems, in the land of tube mods, they know the or at least heard of the name "Reo Grand" but it's rare to find another person who's seen one or knows how it looks like. :D

Once in a while, they'd ask me about my build too. It's not exactly a cloud chasing build, but it does give out a little more than average vapor. When they hear that it's a micro coil, they usually want to see it and some are amazed by how small a real micro coil really is and how little cotton I'm using to wick it.

What kind of reactions do you get when they see your setup/mod?

I went to the little shop here in K-town. The guy is an American and the lady is German. She sticks to VV and premade coils, but he's some device out of the UK that was pushing 80 watts. It was a large wooden box.

I was super surprised when he didn't know what a Reo was. He didn't seem all that impressed either, although we barely talked about it.

Interesting... didn't know there was a vape shop in K-town... would have stopped by last year when I was there. Then again, if he doesn't know what a REO is, it can't be that great of a shop.

It's hard to find a good vape store. Personally I don't care since I know what I want and where to get it I just feel bad for those trying to get into vaping and they get terrible service.

2 that I can recommended for my area are vaperite in woodstock ga and mountain oak in Tennessee as most of these guys know what they are talking about.

Been to one in Marietta ga Saturday and wow I have never seen so much uneducated staff in my life.

Asked for a Pyrex drip tip and he showed me some cheap metal once. Asked if they had DNA 30 devices just to see what they say and he said yes and showed me a mechanical clone. When I asked him where the display is to read my wattage he told me it's already set and ready to go.

When I showed him my reo with cyclone rda he said he has a few of those and showed me boge cartos. I mean how stupid can you be? I thought once I show him my reo and rda he would figure I know at least a bit about vaping but nooo he went a step further lol. Really upset me.

Of the three vapeshops up in town I've been to there seems to be a quiet resentment to my Mini and RM2 as I puff it in front of customers the employees are trying to sell big long heavy phallic facsimiles to.

Then I tell them I haven't had to buy any new stuff for months and months, except a bit of wire, cotton and some juice makin's and the beady eyes intensify.

Pity.:p

There's a store in Marietta? Must be new. Though since I moved to Reo's I only go to one for a juice the wife likes.

We are fortunate to have some really good vape shops around Jax. My favorite has some great staff, a very involved owner who is enthusiastic about vaping and carries high end equipment as well as mixes some fantastic juice.

When I first brought my REO in, one employee in particular was really interested. I was in to pick up one of the only juices I buy since starting DIY and had a new bottle and cotton with me so I could load some up right away. This juice happens to be his favorite so I let him try it in my RM2 and he couldn't believe the difference. He started showing it to the other employees and the owner and everyone loved it.

I passed on Robs contact info and hopefully soon they will be an authorized retailer of the REO.

I guess I'm lucky too living in socal where vape shops are almost everywhere. I've never frequent them as I get all I need online except for the occasional juice that I need. The one I frequent knows reos and can't say a bad thing about it. This is where I left about a dozen of Rob's card. The other ones, all I got was puzzled looks!

Wow... That is some grave incompetence right there. That's the problem with hanging out in REOville, we learn too much :D It's always a nice confidence booster going into a brick & mortar and knowing more (a lot more) than the staff...

I started vaping by going to a local B&M that sold analogs too. I finally got them to realize their supplier was ripping them off something terrible. I thought they would come around and start selling better stuff but sadly they haven't yet. But there is still hope if the young man working there gets his way. Then again he can't get them to switch over to scanners and computerize the stock and cash drawers. Kinda hard headed owner but progress is being made. In a nearby town they have an excellent shop called Kokomo Pure Vapors. They have high end stuff, I bought my first ProVari there. They know me very well there call me by my first name and know about all of the coolest vaping toys. I've been thinking about getting them to buy 5 Reos and if they don't sell within a couple of months I'd buy them from them so they would be out nothing. we'll see how that might work one day. The customers always go gaga over the Reo and love the vape from it. I offer a taste to anyone that wants to try it (as long as they have their own drip tip). I only go there once or twice a month if I went more often customers might put the pressure on them to carry Reos.

There's a new vape shop in my neighborhood I went to check out. It is owned and ran by this little old lady who only sold pink or stainless ego batteries and hot pink and black evods. I've never seen so much pink in my life!

The vape shop near me poo-poo'd mine. The guy drips a tube and thinks he is something special so trying to show him how this works for bottom fed dripping was a waste of time. He said that he saw no benefit to it at all, after all it was just a "box" and he could make his own just like it if he wanted to.

I only went there out of curiosity since I have my REO and DIY my juice. I saw them later at a little festival in the park where they had a booth, and they were very proud of their mech tube clones which were new to them so at least they are advancing. I suppose if I run out of kanthal or all of my batteries go belly up I can get them there, but that won't happen for a long, long time
