If it makes you guys feel any better I still have no clue when I'll be getting my whiteout dna, and I've been waiting since July, heh.
I was thinking about getting one of those way back then but the fact of everything being modular and interchangeable, even the board, drove me away. I just didn't like the size and the way the board was "connected". To each his own though, hope you get it soon.

Oh it'll probably be at least another month or so. I broke down and ordered a different dna200 last weekend that was in stock and in the US.

Same here. I got super lucky and won some money on a lottery ticket and bought a somewhat overpriced DNA200 hammond 1590a box from vapingmall.com

It will come
Ya sure, easy to say "Mr. I got my hot cig today." LOL;). To be honest with myself, I already have a dna 200 device however I STILL don't have a PC. So I got a taste of the koolaid evolv is pumping out, just not a full glass. So I ordered a laptop, a cheap one, one with a USB port, that should be here in a few weeks. TBH, really liking the new Sigelei 200/Snowwolf V2. Ain't no dna but I'm a sucker for large screens. Also the ML class, to see how Yihi does a Chinese escribe program.

Your post gave me a thought for B&Ms that sell DNA200s, they could have a laptop, or PC setup as an 'escribe station' for customers to use, setup, and customize their DNA200s. Have a bunch of profile screens available for common tanks / rdas they sell, recommended wattages / temps, etc. Even just having somebody to walk them through escribe the first time could be helpful for some. That way if somebody doesn't have a PC, or has a mac and doesn't want to install virtualbox, they could leave the store that day with a DNA200 setup ready to go.

Or at least an online retailer who for a small fee can do some basic pre-configure. Even bundle it with tanks and coils as a service. I imagine the margins are not there to do this so a fee would be in play. :)

I am just starting to dabble in temp control but I have found an experience that is pretty good. I got the Hohm Wrecker that does 151 watts in temp control with NI. It has a wicked pre-heat feature and some INSANE battery life. Not cheap, $120 on Ebay or $180 direct so over priced really, but good to have a new player.

However the temp control experience I am getting is better than my IPV3 li, if anything it is what the Sigelei 150TC should have been and then some. So this will have to do until the Vape Cige gets here or I pull the trigger on a HCIGAR or something of the likes.

Yeah, that would work too. Vaporshark does this to some extent already on their VS200, that came very well configured right out of the box, with all the correct settings for the mod, and battery, as well as a couple profiles for common TC tanks they sell, atlantis, herakles, subtank, and customized the screen options a bit from the evolv default. They also turned down the preheat on all the profiles so people aren't blasted with 200W preheat ever. Best stock config of any mass produced DNA200 mod thus far.

Agree with the VS200 on the configuration.Through some strange coincidence,I received my VS200, Vtbox200,and the Hotcig DNA200 all on Friday and the VS was the only one with firmware and settings updated.Of course Escribe makes that not a problem but for the ones who don't tinker, might be a problem. All of them work great and probably won't bother with replacement batteries as I have plenty of backups. My Vtbox200 is the black/white one ([HASHTAG]#291[/HASHTAG]) and so far no problems with it.
The hotcig is same height as the VS but wider on the side and the vtbox200 is big and chunky compared to them.About the size of the snowwolf but fatter. Will have to do some tinkering in Escribe but so far,ANY DNA200 mod is worth your attention if you are looking to upgrade.Have a good night all!:vapor:

Being from China it appears to want to tour the US a bit before arriving.
My last order was delivered in 3 days.It never made it out of China! They had no explanation but did ship the replacement a different method.1st one had a signature and apparently only took 30 minutes from post office to delivery. You never know.
Yours may go a different route just make sure it really arrives in the US first!:nun:
