I ordered through Gearbest but if they're anything like FT it will take at least 3 weeks to reach my door from the time they ship so I'm in no hurry. Last I looked Gearbest had over 500 pre-orders and I was in at around the 100 mark so I should certainly be on their first shipment I think.

I forget exactly where I was in the preorders but i know i got in there near the begining, i ordered on the 5th i think. I paid for expidited shipping so I expect mine to arrive one of the first here

FT improved a lot in shipping time. I remember when I started ordering from them about 2 years ago, it was a shipping nightmare. 4-12 weeks average shipping time, sometimes packages got completely lost, one package I already considered lost showed up 6 months (!) later, etc...
The last few packages I got from them took about 2 weeks from the moment I got the shipping notification from them. Considering the savings and their good customer service they are a winner in my book. :)

I've been looking at specs. The width is my concern, because a wide mod is an uncomfortable mod. But, overall it is a lot bigger. 30-40% bigger.

The size is mostly battery, but if it's uncomfortable to use then it's kind of a no-go for me. For $117, I'll probably let it come in. But size is my biggest concern ATM. I upgraded from my Hana clone due to size and feel. It's just not ergonomic. I love the feel of my SX Mini M-Class. I know I'm going to have to sacrifice comfort relative to that mod.

Vapor Shark - 6.251 Cu In
Lavabox - 7.38 Cu In
VTBox200 - 10.578 Cu In

get yourself an Opus 200. It is about the size of a vaporflask and the battery life is about the same as my snowwolf 200

I just checked my order date was the 4th so I'd guess you were within the 200 range, don't exactly remember how long it took to shoot up but it seems it kinda stalled around the 350 mark for a bit a few days after the pre-order was put up.

Yea in my experience the delays haven't really been from FT, It seems it's usually been China post that misplaces or causes delays or once the package hits the States and sits in customs for a week or so. I should have been more clear in my post I wasn't faulting FT for the delivery being slow, just the free shipping goes onto the "slow boat from China" :) The longest I've ever waited for a package from them has been a month and a half, Most the time it's 3 weeks for me, never received anything faster than that.

Opus 200 have had issues with numerous blown fuses. I haven't heard if they've resolved that issue or not yet. Personally would stay away from them until there was an acknowledgement and resolution to that issue. Hana have had their share of issues with screens, 510 connections as well, so at this point I'm not sure there's mod manufacturer that's releasing a high volume of devices without some type of issues.

But for sure to hit on @footbag concern there are a few choices coming around the corner that are or will be much smaller in physical size as well as mah than the Vtbox200. We just don't know if they'll have issues or not until that point comes.

I have 5 friends with with Opus 200s and none of them have had a problem. We have all had them from their first and second batches. The fuses were a very small minority of people. I can't speak to the hanna issues. I have a red and black VTBox200 that should be here any day now. I will be surprised if it replaces my Opus as my favorite mod.

I wasn't saying they all had problems, but there's enough reports of them blowing fuses that it's a known problem. No one but Evolv and Opus really know how high the fail rate is and from what I've read on the early adopter forum, Evolv is pointing the finger at Opus and Opus is pointing the finger at Evolv. My point was I haven't seen anyone take responsibility for the problem and state the resolution on either side so to the best of my knowledge the problem still exists. So personally I'd stay away from it. You and your friends work great for you and your happy with it so that's what matters. And just like you I know the VTBox200 will not replace my Sxmini m's but it will be interesting to me to work with the DNA 200 first hand.

I haven't pulled out the M class in forever. The DNA 200 TC just blows the M class out of the water. The problem with the fuses is not just opus. It seems to be mainly metal mods that it is happening with. The issue might be the nut against the chip is too tight and is creating a short. If there were a lot of mods blowing fuses the forums would be blowing up about it. Instead there are a few posts here and there which makes me think its more isolated. In any case adding a new fuse is pretty simple they are only a dollar 99. If you have to replace it just get those non conductive nuts and replace the metal ones in the mod, or you can send it to evolve and they will fix it.

I don't really want to de-rail this thread anymore talking about the Opus problems here so take a look at Opus 200 dead - DNA 200 Early Adopters Forum and several other threads on that forum as well have similar complaints. I would't want to guess what the problem is but yes I've seen a number of other posts stating they had blown fuses, burnt chips etc.., outside of Opus so it's not an exclusive problem with them. I'm hopeful when my Vtbox200 comes in I won't have to deal with desoldering smd fuses or repairing a new mod as I've read it's in a metal enclosure. As well as many other devices coming to market.

I have seen the threads there... the VTBox200 does not use any glue so unless they have nylon nuts its possible they will suffer the same problem as Fuse Popping Tracking - DNA 200 Early Adopters Forum

My record Chinese shipping time is 5 days, achieved twice and both from FastTech. Worst is 10 days, from an eBay order.

I always do EMS with FastTech/3FVape etc but couldn't on this because of the battery. But it'll be Singapore Post which I think I have used before on a couple of eBay packages I received from China, and they were the ones that took max 10 days which isn't too bad.

Why out for hard box? Better protection for the content?
Yea it's a $1 extra. They say it's for if you want to resell or gift it to someone or some crap. It's supposedly keeps the VTbox200 box intact and w/o scratches and dings during shipping. It's only a $1, so why not, can't hurt. So when my package gets crushed by USPS all the broken pieces of the mod will be in one box. LOL
