I would bet folks getting defective batteries and blown up resistors is related to those open spades. It would not take much for the Chinese to realize, "umm hey we better change that up cause the $2 per labor is sparking these things left and right".

Remember the board game "OPERATION"?

That's exactly what I was thinking. They might have killed the batteries themselves when installing.

It does look like they are taking the POTV group-buy units back. They also said they are correcting the male connector. Now we just need to see if they are being honest.

$2 labor? More like $.10. I'll never understand the Chinese.

Lol! At least we can knock the other DNA200 mods over something. 900 is not enough. I'm hoping we are at least looking at 1500mah. if it's 1800ma, then all the better.

Despite all of the issues, I'm pretty darn excited about this one.
The good thing about the VaporShark is the 2a charging so the way I see it the less time I need to spend charging it the more time il be able to use it, how ever topping it up might be more frequent but from 0-100% should be 1.5 hours and larger batteries with 1a charging you will be looking at much longer

Yeah. I still can't comprehend the whole LiPo thing. I like 18650's or two, and using the device while it charges. I'm sure we'll see some 2x devices soon. I'm just hoping the VTBox is useable. Otherwise, I'll have to pick something better. I like the VS, but that darn bottom screen! Probably wouldn't beat the VTBox here. Maybe. I hope.

Here's my theory on on how VS got the screen at the bottom and also the zip, this is a GUESS. A daughter board that has a ribbon cable that goes into evolv's zif connector, then from the daughter board to the screen with a zif connection on it. As for the 2 amp, maybe evolv did something special for VS, hardware and or firmware upgrades? If someone actually knows please tell me it's been buggin me. Evolv should have made the board 2 amp from the gate. Cause I think 2 amps is better than the stock 1 amp. Ya dig it!?

After having had a 40w rDNA for quite a while I quickly got used to the bottom screen and its really not an issue for me now, in fact I quite like it. Before I really wasn't that keen and didn't like the idea but honestly you just get used to if and it just doesn't matter any more and its just the VaporShark style now. In terms of charging I have absolutely 0 worries with my 50,000 mah power bank with 1a USB & 2a USB port

I never thought about that. 2A via USB. There must be some other board in there. Makes me want one.

Maybe Evolve gave VS some exclusive feature. VS owned the DNA 40 for better or worse.

Did the red/black actually have a pre-order period? It's odd that the white/black was the first we saw, then the reviews for the red/black came out. Now the red/black seems to be in stock and the white is still on preorder.

I probably would've ordered the one I'd get first. I'd prefer red/black, but not changing my mind now. Hoping FT beats that ETA.
