Wow that was soooo much fun!

Went out with the gang for drinks after work, asked the server if it was okay. She said, yeah, the owner has this massive thing that he smokes all over the place. Awesome!

What a great feeling to not have to go outside and freeze my .... off for a little nicotine. Also, my non-smoker friend couldn't get over how she couldn't smell it, so then I blew some in her face so she could give it a sniff: Jughead's Shamrock Shake = lovely.

We will be going there every Friday from now on. :D

BTW the pub (if you're in London area) is Out Front at the market (formerly Chancey's)...really nice place.

Maybe the owner will see this. If so, THANKS, MAN!!

The only bar I ever go to lets people smoke cigarettes in it, so I've been free to vape away haha. They have a large board in there with a huge message on it that essentially tells anyone who doesn't like it to **** off.

No kidding Jables? I didn't think there were any left! Don't they get fined all the time?

There's one bar in Vancouver that I know of that explicitly allows it, and a few weekends ago I was out at another one stealth vaping most of the night, but later in the evening with some liquid courage I was vaping openly and no one said anything, staff or customers. So it would seem it is ok there as well, but I never did explicitly ask.

Edit: just called and asked....the guy that answered vaguely knew what they were (a guy in his band uses one) and said as long as its not a cigarette it's ok, and just to let anyone that asks know what it is. So....doesn't sound like they really have an explicit policy on it, but the default stance at least for the guy that answered the phone is that it's ok.

It was a ggts uploadfromtaptalk1353855341120.jpg the one on the right, and I am happy to welcome any vapers to our little bar.

I'v been to afew pubs/clubs herw and only a handful of em let me vape in public every other club / bar just said no and looked at me as if i was gonna smoke weed or something out of it

Do you ask them first? Don't. Works for me every time. They barely notice. If they don't smell anything it doesn't "register". I vape everywhere.

Vaped at Square 1 shopping mall today and a security guard grabbed my hand and said ( Hey tare you smoking in here>!>!) i said no im vaping and if you touch me like that again im going to headbutt you . ke apologized and said not to vape in here.

That should give him a favorable first impression of vapers.

This is 100% true with many things. Most people today are so brain-dead, so unaware of their surroundings, and so adverse to confrontation that they simply are incapable of commenting on something that doesn't make sense to them, like seeing smoke they can't smell, or seeing someone who looks like they are smoking in an establishment where smoking is banned.

If you bring it to their attention--by asking permission (which you DO NOT need, BTW. If something is not specifically prohibited under law, it is implicitly LEGAL) the default position for most peopleis to say "No". People have been trained that if you have to ask permission to do something, it is wrong or illegal or you are asking for some sort of special exemption from something that isn't allowed.

Vaping is NOT a crime. Not even in a neo-serfdom like Canada...

You don't need "permission" to vape. And asking for it is like asking your neighbors for their permission to go to church or vote for a certain political candidate--it is neither their business or within their authority to deny you...

You may not need permission to vape, but you are not on public property and they can tell you to get out. That plus the fact that it's common decency to ask first.

We really don't need to rile people up and asking isn't hard. 90% of the time I've had people say yes, very rarely do they say no, I don't know where you get that from. That's my experience anyway, living in the same city as the op.
