Nicotine may be stimulant but I'm more likely to use it to relax. Seems possible it may be letting you relax enough for tiredness and stress to finally hit you.
Yes exactly -- in children with ADD and ADHD, they use stimulants, and it has the paradoxical effect of letting them calm down, because it stimulates the brain chemicals into behaving properly.
Paradoxical effect is well known in medicine -- if I use my asthma inhaler too much, it can actually bring on an asthma attack. Nicotine is a stimulant, but its stimulant effect has the effect of making brain chemicals behave, which brings on focus, relaxation, and perhaps for some, lethargy.
But I agree, sometimes there are things going on which can't be easily explained, even though it's clear they have *something* to do with
vaping; it's just difficult to nail it down precisely, and then remedy it. I had a similar problem with extreme foot/ankle edema when I first started
vaping; it wasn't that the PG was *causing* it, but it's true that vaping does cause dehydration, or increase it if it's already present; I was already so dehydrated that further dehydration scrambled my electrolytes BUT GOOD! and I had to take a number of steps to fix the problem -- lower my sodium, lower my caffeine, increase potassium and general hydration -- within a week of starting to drink coconut water daily, the problem completely disappeared; I keep it gone by continuing to use less sodium and caffeine, and continuing to drink coconut water daily.
It may just be that nicotine has such a strong organizing effect on your brain chemicals, that it feels like lethargy to you -- it may pass, or you may need to decrease nicotine.
