Hi, I'm new to vaping and realize that everyone is different but all I see in the forums is people talking about using 4 cartos a day or blazing through e liquid and ingesting like 5 times the amount of nicotine they did when they smoked. Is that normal? I use mine about 20 times a day and take about 10 hits per session. I only use 1 carto unless I want to switch up flavor. Basically I'm trying to totally mimic my smoking including average number of hits per analog and vape the exact same way. I see no difference between smoking and vaping doing it this way, and my two batteries last all day long. Basically what I'm wondering is what's up? I read about people vaping for two hours straight, batteries only lasting three hours (continuous vaping?) and like I said blazing through e liquid like its a drug other than nicotine.... Like I said, I'm not here to judge and to each his own but do some people over do it, and does anyone vape like I do? It almost feels like I'm doing something wrong. Lol, anyway just wanted to get that off my chest. Thanks!

Sure ... there are those who vape too much, just as there are those who drink too much, or eat too much. I guess it's just the life of a hard core vaper.

I can't lie, I often wonder how some ppl manage to vape those very high levels of nic juice and not feel sick. And it does appear that some are vaping way more nicotine than they actually smoked, but to each their own.

If you aren't smoking and you feel better, you are certainly doing it right! Don't worry about what anyone else vapes, do whatever works for you. It is easy to get sucked into thinking you need more of something when people get so enthusiastic, but check yourself and decide what you want/need without the hype. IMO, of course. :)

I'm new to vaping too. I quit analogs 3 weeks ago, and been vaping since. I initially started with disposable blu's, for a couple of days, then I got the greensmoke. Both 18mg nicotine. I used to be a pack a day smoker, and found that I vaped more or less the same amount as when smoking. That's with the 18mg. For about a week though, since I got my provari, and found some delicioussss juices, I turned down my nic to 12mg, but I vape more. Almost double? Now, I realize I may be overdoing it a little, but I can't tell whether its from the lower nic, or delicious juice, or both. I don't feel any different though. And thats what matters, for me at least. I'll try some 6mg juices and see how that works. I'd definitelly trade nic. levels for more of that juicy stuff...

Well, heavy vapers might be vaping a lower nic in order to chain vape, or because they really like the flavor. I don't think it's really possible to overdose on nic, at least with any regularity. Your body would let you know when you crossed the line and I think people pay attention to that information. I also think, with the variety of vaping techniques, lots of vapers are not getting anywhere near the nic they are vaping into their systems. I don't inhale into my lungs, and I don't exhale thru my nose. I keep most of it in my mouth and then exhale.

I think there are so many variables involved with vaping, plus everyone has his/her own reasons & expectations for getting into it to begin with. And there's a learning curve that some of us take a lot slower than others. How we vape has a lot to do with the efficiency of our "nicotine delivery system", as does our PV itself. Lots of stuff involved. Anyway I wouldn't worry about it, just whatever works for you is fine. I find in reading these threads I learn lots of new tricks that make my vaping experience both more enjoyable & probably more efficient, but in truth I don't keep score or, for that matter, keep count of how much juice I use, etc. I just vape all I want because I enjoy it (and as a big plus, I'm not smoking all I would otherwise want)! Happy Vaping! :vapor:

One more reason you have begun vaping more often is the Blu disposable is 24mg. Their cartos only go up to 18mg, but their disposable is 24mg.

Just like kids with a new toy, many of us over do it when we start vaping! New flavors to try. new equipment. trying to find something that feels like smoking etc. I say- whatever works for you!

Some of us started vaping to quit smoking and plan(ned) on quiting vaping too. I'm in that camp. But honestly, even though I'm vaping 0-6mg I'm still vaping 18 months later. I'm as addicted to the habit of the action of smoking as I was to the nicotine. I'm grateful for my PVs because I know that I'd be smoking again if not for them. I keep some higher mg stuff on hand for those bad days.

If you have really good tasting liquid, its really tough to not chain vape
I currently only use an ego battery with a fluxomizer, but man when I add my copper creek house blend on my battery or my vanilla coffee combo! ITS CRAZY i could vape for 3 hours straight if i had the time.
I recently also lowered my nic intake to 12 mg because I started realizing I was inhaling way to much nicotine at 24 and 18 mg

I'm at my 2 month mark of being analog free and I'm "just" beginning to set my PV down more often. I have no desire for a cigarette, but my body doesn't always agree, so therefore I vape. I've cut my nic in half in these two months and don't plan on reducing it any more until I find myself not remembering where I sat my PV down.

It's a personal choice and individual needs that have us vaping the way we do. If you're being successful keeping your cravings under control and you're feeling better and better with each passing day, then you're vaping just right!

One thing to remember with vaping. The nicotine absorption rate is significantly lower than with analogs. So while you may be vaping more in term of number of "drags" on your PV versus an analog, it is likely you are actually absorbing less nicotine.

Very well stated and you beat me too it.

I chainvape but I also chainsmoked...4 PAD habit. I use 12-18mg nic all day, every day. Do I ingest more nic than I smoked? Nope, I went through some withdrawal when I first quit using 36mg non-stop. I dropped my nic down simply because my body told me it was time too.

Well I personally vape/vaped alot because I was one of those guys who was a machine operator and dipped all day and then smoked all night. If I smoked while in a dump truck or bulldozer I would of smoked 3 packs a day and lungs hurt so I switched to skoal while at work. So to make up for that I think I vaped alot to overcome that huge nic addiction I have. I have cut way back from when I started though. You will adjust to what you need at least I think I did....

1 year ago, I got a 510 "yetti" from a local tobacco shop. I used my yetti alongside low mg nicorette gum. When I quit smoking completely, I felt fine the first two days. After that, I began to overdose on the nicotine. I quit the gum and I was vaping 18mg. I was using my 510 the same way you are now. I tried to limit each session to the amount of puffs I would take from a normal cigarette. I began withdrawing after about a week, got passed those that, and I stuck with vaping 18mg nicotine for 3 months, always trying to limit myself to vaping as if I were smoking cigarettes. I quit vaping 3 months in, mainly because I was missing throat hit.

I broke out my 510 around 2 weeks ago now, and both batteries had gone bad. So, I went to the mall kiosk and bought myself a 2 battery kit. They only had low nicotine, and high nicotine menthol. So, I chose the high option, at 18mg per cartomizer. It wasn't satisfying me at all. I ordered 4 juices from VB, 3 at 18mg and 1 at 24mg. The throat hit was still not at all what I was looking for at the 18mg, but the 24mg tobacco flavor was disgusting. I spent around a week vaping the 18mg juices. So, here I am aproaching week 2 and I am almost exclusively vaping the 24mg tobacco flavor. It had steeped, and it tastes delicious now. When I had first moved to the 24mg, my body hated it. I could only have 3-4 puffs before I felt dizzy, got headaches, and felt anxiety filled and sick. But the throat hit was exactly where I had always wanted to be. So, now, my everyday, all day juice, is my 24mg menthol tobacco.

My cigarette habit had been getting VERY bad before I quit. I had quit buying cigarettes and I had been buying tobacco and tubes and rolling my own for around 6 months prior to vaping. The rolled cigarettes were much stronger than any pack cigarette I'd ever had.. And, I was smoking around 30 to 40 high nicotine, rolled cigarettes a day. I am an unemployed young man without the ability to frequently try new juices. I can't afford a higher voltage mod to help my throat hit at a lower nic level either. So right now, the 24mg has stopped making me feel woozy, and it gives me a great throat hit. I am interested in experimenting with adding drops of alcohol to my juice to increase throat hit at lower nicotine dosages, but not for a while. Right now, I'm really happy with my 24mg juice.

I'd say if anything, I'm probably getting more nicotine than I was when smoking cigarettes. But, its worth it to me, because I'm finding I'm enjoying vaping MORE than I enjoyed cigarettes. When I was smoking, I'd wake up groggy and VERY tired. Smoking a cigarette, or two consecutive cigarettes as I sat at the side of my bed watching the news was a integral part of my life. The cigarettes always helped me out of that grogginess. When I'd wake up, grab my 510 and vape at 18mg, it wasn't satisfying me at all. I had to puff on my 510 from the moment I woke up, 5 minutes sitting up on my bed, and then still had to vape as I made my coffee and readied my shower.

With the 24mg juice, I find that it takes about as long as my rolled cigarettes were taking me to "wake up." So, I think for now, I'm sticking to 24mg juices. The mg content that hits your sweet spot is subjective to everyone. Dependant on what type of tobacco you smoked, how much you smoked, and what your looking for throat hit wise. 24mg may be a bit much for the first day or two of regular use, but I feel it best replicates my strong rolled cigarettes.

Thanks for reading.
