This is a review of RiP Tripper's AWOL, from Vapetrik.

I am a big fan of RiP's work. I first tried Khlorine and haven't done a review because I straight-up destroyed a 30 ML bottle in no time flat. I loved it that much. I am going to order some more in the next couple of weeks and do a proper review on that, but the topic here is AWOL, one of RiP's newer juices.

To be quite honest, I was not in love with AWOL fresh out of the bottle. Having tried it in a couple of other slightly different setups a couple of weeks later, I REALLY dig this stuff. I actually think I had a bad cartomizer in my first sampling because what I am tasting now is completely different than what I did during my first impression.

Over the last couple of days, I have been vaping AWOL exclusively out of an IBTanked 22mm XL OCD tank on a Provari. Yesterday, I was on a 3.2 ohm Smok carto at 5.0 volts, and today I am on a Boge at 4.0 volts.

I am partial to massive anise flavors like Pluid and Grenada, which would be fine for me if all other juices on this planet suddenly disappeared tomorrow. AWOL does indeed have an anise component, but this juice has a bunch of other layers of flavor that keep you guessing and make this juice more interesting. This is not a clone or replacement for Pluid, but it has a complexity that I have come to learn is the hallmark of what RiP does. It's not smashing you over the head with a truckload of black jelly beans. The anise is there, for sure, and those familiar with other anise juices will recognize the slight tongue tingle that you get from vaping an anise juice.

What sets AWOL apart is everything else that is going on. I am not going to pretend to know what RiP is putting in AWOL, but I get some nice fruity pineapple, a hint of cloves, and a forward tartness that I haven't tasted in any other juice. As for the cloves, AWOL has just the right amount. The tartness is absolutely key, and balances out the sweetness inherent in an anise and tropical fruit juice. There is also a coolness on the inhale that, at first I thought was a tiny bot of menthol. I could be wrong, but after vaping this for a while, I am pretty sure that this does not have menthol in it.

Vapor is on par with RiP's other juices, and just right out of my setup. Throat hit is mellow on the 12mg nic bottle that I just finished. The juice looks great in a tank and is a translucent, cloudy ice-blue color.

RiP is doing really great work with his flavor layering, and as many have said before, his juices really do grow on you. After going through 30 ML of this stuff, I know that this is a juice that I will definitely re-order. The complexity and balance of sweet and tart is rather remarkable, and I highly recommend this juice.

Enjoy!
