Hi all!
I just came back from a couple of days at the beach and let me tell you, some of the looks me and my hubby received we're down right funny! Interesting however that no one said anything-even the cop that had to look twice (we have 3.7 box mods that look like mine bombs lol)
In one place we did karaoke at we asked the bartender first if we could vape there and he said sure as long as it wasn't smoke. Along comes the manager saying-they can't smoke at the bar you know. the bartender laughed at him and said-they're not! At another place they sell some type of pv and disposables so of course it was all good. Even got to "educate" a few people about them.
All in all it was interesting to say the least

I never vape in any place that has banned analogs, mostly because I don't feel i need one that bad, and can wait. I go outside like an analog smoker would, and I don't really care to have to explain it, as it isn't that much of a need for me. HOwever, i can relate to you saying the stares you get are funny....i go to the beach a lot and when i am out in a crowd of people outdoors with both smokers and non smokers, they really stare at this little pink contraption that I am puffing away on. But so far, only one person came up to me and asked about it, but she had an idea of what it was, and wanted to hear more. I gave her a lot of info, told her the model I use and where to get it, she called her fiance over and asked if I would talk to him about it too, as she wanted to buy him one for his bday. LOL

I swear if it wasn't pink, I bet people would think I was brazingly smoking a crack pipe! That is why I intentionally got a very bubble gummish looking color. I have a pink Ego and my carts I buy from cignot are a darker pink. It actually looks like lipstick. hehe

I like it when people ask if it is ok to Vape in bars.

Since we can't assume everyone suddenly knows about the e-cig, I agree with you. I think it is a polite touch, and the more we Vapers ask and remain courteous, the less negative connotations we will get from non vapers (those who smoke analogs and those who don't).

I'd vape at the beach, cept we really don't have one connected to an ocean. But, we got bars, and I've never been turned down in any I've been to. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Just to add, when I say "at the beach" i don't mean actually while sitting there at the ocean. I mean at the events around the boardwalk like outdoor bands, or outdoor bars. Analogs are allowed there, so I will vape there.

I realize you might not have meant my post at all, I just also realized I didn't make a very good distinction about where I meant when saying "at the beach".

My family and I were at the Lake Erie beach this past weekend and it was packed.. I was lounging on the beach blanket toking on my Reo Grand and got many strange looks, but not one person asked me what I was doing...

Sounds like it was much relaxing also :)

I have to go to the beach on a weekend and see how many people look at me crazy here lol... Im in Southern California where everyone feels they have to judge eachother so im sure i will get some pretty crazy looks and possibly a few asking me what im smoking and probably a few that will blurt out something rude while walking by lol.
