Not sure if this is the best place for this question, but, here goes.

I currently have a pet conure, Kiwi, and i know that second hand smoke is extremly bad for birds as their lungs are overly sensitive to it. As a result i never smoked in the same room as Kiwi. I also know that there is no second hand smoke with the ecigs, but does anyone know if there is any thing in the vapor cloud you exhale that could be harmful to a bird? Kiwi is always on my shoulder and is always curious about it.

Any vapors that are also bird owners notice any issues?

Might be easier to find definitive answers about what's particularly bad for bird in cigarette smoke.

Exhaled vapor isn't smoke in the literal sense of the word. Smoke is very small particles of the burned material that is light enough to stay in air but is still technically a solid, which is why it tends to cling to your clothes and such. Vapor is evaporated liquid. It does contain nicotine, but little else. Worth looking in to whether nicotine is one of the things in cig smoke that's bad for them.

I'd also be interested to know if size matters in this case. If you administer some normal dose of a drug to a 150lb. human, the same dose of just about anything would probably kill an 8 oz. bird. e.g. 2 Advil tablets. However, airborne substances may even out in that regard since they breath vastly less air as well.
