vaping around a fire pit

So, i just talked to my neighbor, and she has been hanging out here the past 2 days. I got my hubby for a fire pit for his bday. anyway, she said fyi, when i get mine do not vape around the pit, the cig will get the smoke from the pits flavor.

so my question is.. is there any thing else i should avoid vaping around to avoid that problem? is it common?

I have never heard of anything like that... IMO, you get just as much smoke 'flavor' on your clothes as you would in your e-cig. By that reasoning you also shouldn't vape around spaghetti so your e-cig won't taste like marinara.

Did she say why?

It doesn't sound logical to me since the PV is essentially a closed system, but, I guess that anything is possible. Just to be sure though, I think I will avoid vaping anywhere near the kitty litter box.

I do wish I could recreate the look on my face as I read this thread... squinted eyes.... reading a second time...... thinking for a minute..... and bursting out into laughter spitting my soda onto the screen ! LOL Glad I don't have a cat anymore so I don't have to worry about vaping near the litter box !!!!!

FYI- I did vape last fall by the bonfire and had no problems with the taste of my juice.

She might mean that the vape tastes like the firepit while actively vaping, not that it permanently takes on the pit flavor. Which would make sense. If your pv draws in smoke-laden air, I imagine that the air will not lose the smoke taste just because it passed through an atty.

I imagine the smoky air you suck in through the air inlets and through the atty/cart or cartomizer could leave some aroma. But you can change your cartomizer or wash cart/atty and restuff the cart.

If you can use cartomizers just set one aside for vaping at the fire pit.

I logged more than a few hours in front of the fire pit with some wobbly pops last summer and never experienced anything but a good ole time. Nothing to worry about

so, from your responses, none of you have had odor absorbsion problems? I mean i love my glade plugins.. but not enough to want to taste them lol

That makes no since. The only thing porous in an pv is the wick and/or filler which winds up getting cleaned or thrown away in the end anyway.

It is better to be safe then sorry, but I'll VAPE around anything myself......I smoked around anything. I was at 5 packs a day when I quit. I'll do anything to stay quit!
Might even VAPE a kitty box.

I hate seeing that "around a fire pit". Last time I was around a fire pit, it was 1AM and I was face down in a cold one, all cut and bruised with a sharp rock inches from when my forehead landed. That's the last time I drink moonshine at the top of a dark woody hill and then rush down to get my banjo. After the fire pit, I ran shins first into a fallen tree. Then tumbled the rest of the way down and ran headfirst into a tree in the campsite. Lost my favorite reading glasses too.

I need to go vape near the litter box now.
