Since I gave up analogs totally ( was smokin 5 or 6 a day for a year or so) my dog loves the vapor. He chases it sniffs at it doesn't seem to bother him. Now if someone smokes a analog in my house he barks and barks and barks lol. Guesss he made his choice. He is only alittle over a year and my 8 yr old cat could care less

I have one cat and one dog. I have not noticed any issues with them and vaping. I cannot see how there would be. Has to be better for them than analog smoke.

I notice that they do not shun me as much as with vaping as they did with smoking, my cat hated cigarettes, (smart cat)

My pets are older and fairly sedate, so they don't meddle much, but one concern for those with more adventurous, nosey pets would be to be sure and safeguard your supplies as ingestion by mouth by a pet could be very dangerous, perhaps even deadly.

We probably don't realize how bad the analog smoke was on our pets. Their system is
so much more sensitive than ours and with the limited life span, any 2nd hand smoke
that they received really hurt them more than we probably imagine.
But with that said....my dog use to sneeze when I would smoke in the house or when
I would give him some "oh what a cute boy" near his face and my breath would make
him sneeze as well. (sounds yucky but true..smokers breath I guess) I would
litterly have to go ouside or open doors and windows to stop his sneezing.
Now days....he lays in my lap and sleeps and does not sneeze and when I give
him the little kisses....he kisses back!
Lordy, I think I need to get out more often. Any single vapers out there????? Oldies???

Our cat is around us A LOT more now, she is more active and generally seems rather pleased to not be breathing smoke anymore. She used to yell at me and run away if she was near me when I exhaled smoke. Now she doesn't even seem to notice much.

But yes, PG is toxic to cats, from what I have read only if the ingest it. I keep everything away from her, and I don't blow it in her face or vape too much if she is next to me.

I don't know if vaping is in any way bothering my dog. She does not run away if I am vaping, she did when I smoked. That can be not to my advantage, lol.

I must say though, that I have had one rabbit lived to 15 die of cancer, one rat, one mouse, several birds, and well the fish who knows, that was back in the fish tank days.

My dog does have lumps, that I fear are b/c of my smoking, but others have told me that do not smoke that their dogs got lumps too.

My dog does not react to the aroma of vaping, but hated the smoking. So, unless I start vaping the "baby back ribs" or "peppered jerky" that are out there, I may never know. Food is God to my dog. She will not react to sweet, sour, bitter, but meat, you bet ya'. Am I gonna try those flavors? No, don't know how much food I can vape, nor how my dog will react or lick me to death for it!

My dogs ignore them, but the nic hurting them is my single fear about vaping. My hubby and I do everything possible to keep the liquids from them, especially the various paper towels used for opening tank carts, blowing out tank attys, etc. But even though they are smaller dogs, they are so smart and so savvy and at times gave managed to get their mouth and paws onto things they reasonably could not have gotten (and one of them has a special love for anything that can be shredded, like paper towels that might smell like a sweet treat :-/ ). It may sound silly to some, but I just could not live with myself if something happened to them because of something I did or failed to do. Since we are human and thus not perfect, I cannot help but to worry.

Beez, glad I could add to the thread just below you - what type of dog is that there in your avatar? VERY CUTE. Well, I have 3dogs 4 cats 2 birds and 6 horses. I really don't think there has been a big reaction from most of them - they all were very used to my smoking but one, my main horse. He absolutely HATED smoking and he made that very clear to me and never tolerated it. He has not reacted to the vaping though, he was suspicious when I first did it around him but does tolerate it now - no problem at all.
