Vaping at 6v - any known issues?

Just been wondering as to the effects of vaping at 6v with regard to the vapour and the health effects? I ve hear a few people express their reservations on 6v as to the effects it might have on the vapour.

I personally haven't read anything anywhere regarding this ; nothing concrete.
So just wondering if there's anything out there which I might have missed. Either way.

I just love vaping at 6v, after you try it you will know what I mean.

The best thing I've found about 6v is also what you have to pay attention to... The amount of nicotine! Or more specifically, the difference in the way nicotine is vaporized at higher voltages. The day I got my SB, I was a little overzealous in using it at 6v, and I started to feel a little sick and I started to get a little sore throat. The 18mg juice I was using was so much stronger at 6v than at 3.7! After that, I gave 6v the respect it deserves. I start and end the day at 3.7v, and vape at 6v the rest of the time.

Vapor production is great and as for flavor... I won't lie, 6v can cook. I've made some DIY raspberry and passionfruit juice and it didn't hold up at 6v, and I've heard that the more delicate flavors will cook as well. I now only use Tobacco flavors (like JC original) and HV juice from Nhaler at 6v and IMHO, those flavors kicks ...!

Try it out. 6v will blow your mind

No major issues then cept for overdoing the nicotine!

Tobacco flavours do well at 6v? I've pretty much narrowed down to vaping tobacco only. Mostly.

If you use VG based liquid you may want to steer clear of 6 volts.

Prolonged use of PG liquid at 6volts even irritated my throat and I had to stop. I even tried zero nic at 6v and after a week I had to stop. Additionally it should be noted that 6volts is a drip only voltage and carts should not be used. Keep your atomizers moist, 6v will use about double the liquid you use at 3.7v.

My BSB (love it) was delivered yesterday and I have been vaping at 6v (love it) the majority of the time with the spring mod (love it) and it has been keeping my 510 atty nice and wet.

Completely agree with the double the liquid usage though and you know when it's getting close to empty.

Can someone who is using the BB at 6v please PM me with the type of batteries you are using? I've tried searching different parts of the forums here and haven't been able to locate very specific information. I understand the difference between protected and unprotected, but is there another way to tell how low they are getting besides taking them out and testing them with a meter?

im using regualar CR2's from walmart. they are energizer lithium photo batts but work just fine. the one thing i notice is that they dont last long at all. i have been looking all day trying to find the mah rating for them but no luck so im sure it isnt very big. i vaped hard at 6V for about 10 maybe 15 minutes and i saw a drop off of vapor. I know they are not protected but I used them anyway. I kept checking the atty, the BB and kept checking the batts themselves just to make sure. maybe ill try and get some RCR2's and give them a try but the 14500 batts are doing quite well on thier own for me!

Is the only reason that we can't use 2 protected RCR2's strictly the length of the BB tube?

Nevermind. I see now that protected RCR2's currently may not exist.

Protected CR2's don't exist but liFePo4 CR2's do! This is a much safer chemistry than lithium ion's. The link below shows a source for them. I'd wait until someone actually receives them and verify's that they are actually liFePo4's and what the mAh rating is before actually ordering them.

does anyone know if there is a better 510 atty for vaping at 6 volts my attys keep burning out after 12 hours or so of use. anyone have suggestions??

You didn't mention using cartos so it may not be an issue for you but for anyone else who comes across this thread wondering: for most people (not all mind you) cartos at 6v are no good - they taste way to harsh/dry/burnt

I was really surprised as I love them at 5v on my PT and my Prodigy v2

Edit: I haven't tried these batteries myself so I can't say for sure if they will fit in the BB, but I think they will fit the new extended bottoms.

Keep the atomizer wet, don't use cartridges and drip. You need to keep the atomizer flooded or you will burn them out. Also read websites for adapter warnings and all that fun stuff.

The cartos are okay, but I've heard mixed things @ 6v. I've tried a few, goes through the juice face have to keep em 'topped off'

I use 6v on Enercell PT using the BB, and I've had amazing life on the 510 atomizer (non-hv), I.E. 3 months on one atomizer...that one was buried in the back yard and had a funeral after it passed Curse you First Batch of Waffle Juice that was too thick *shakes fist at the sky*

Have you measured the current/resistance they trip at? What resistance? Joye 510s seem to come in about 2.2ohms. I have some "510"s that measure at 2.4 - 2.5 ohms. Are those going to work?
My 901 (with adapter) measures at 3.1ohms, I assume that's fine?
