I have been where you are, but it was back in my smoking days. I had to choose between eating or smoking some days and once had to go without Television or a computer as those had to be pawned to pay the bills. Things started looking up when I decided any job would do me for a while even if it was sacking groceries at the supermarket part time. Thankfully it didn't come to that but I did get a job and felt much better about myself with a little change in my pocket. That confidence led me to a better job that I recently retired from. Now, loudly announce to anyone in the house that all you want for your birthday is $20. If that fails, call and beg or borrow some juice from a friend. If nothing else, you can figure out what you can do without and go sell at the local pawn shop instead of waiting for the yard sale or post it on Craigslist.

Lastly... You never know what you will get if you don't ask. Don't assume you know what others can afford to do or not do and don't expect them to understand that your hints about being out of juice means that you want them to offer help. ASK, they can't read your mind. You will feel much better for asking for help than to assume that people know you need help.
Good Luck and Happy Birthday

Like I mentioned before with the passing of a recent law, which all juice makers and shops have a years grace period to get things in line and get licensed, i'd likely be breaking the law making my own. With how it is worded it sounds that way. I also should mention that this law will make it harder to get juices from out of state because it requires those who sell to Indiana to go through the same hoops and stuff if they want to sell and ship juice to people here.
If that is indeed the case, then you need to place your order now, before the law gets in full effect. The places that sell nicotine should know if they can't sell in Indiana

Regarding DIY and the Indiana Bill. @crxess posted this.
DIY is Not illegal according to the Bill. A person doing DIY is not purchasing E-liquid as defined by the Bill and therefor not in Possession of illegally acquired E-liquid.

Internet purchasing is not specified, but implied if the Manufacturer has not acquired a Permit to sell in the State.

I wonder how many people have actually read the Bill - I just did.

The post was on page #2 (I did not read further) but it's a big thread you may wish to read.

Indiana HB 1432 signed into law and takes effect July 1st, 2015 | E-Cigarette Forum

1. We don't have a pawn shop in the town I live in.
2. If I could afford to stock up I would.

@Susan-s
I followed all that when it was going on. The way the bill is worded, it isn't clear to everyone that reads it if it includes DIY or not. To be honest if I had money coming in i'd rather just buy the juice rather then make it myself. I know it is cheaper but when making your own it takes time to become good at finding the right mixtures for the flavors you want. i don't feel like going through the headache of all that. I'd rather get what I know I like or what i think I might like and not have to stress over making it.

If you can't drive to a pawn shop in another town then put your stuff outside and put up signs and have your own yard sale. The early bird yard sale. if I needed juice I would find a way to get it. There are a lot of recipes sites that have correct measurements that can be tweaked for your nicotine and VG/PG preferences on the calculator. It's not hard.

Get a job
And if you can't find a job, create your own!

This is easier said then done. I have been trying with no luck. I have always had a hard time finding work. Sometimes I get lucky but most of the time I can't even get an interview. I haven't even had any luck getting on at our local mcdonalds. Not sure what sort of job I could actually create either No money to start a business and I don't ever see that happening. Would be nice though, i'd love to open a vape shop.

@gofishtx
Considering I don't have a lot I can even sell, just some old boombox speakers, got like 3 or 4 sets I think, a dvd player and a few clothes, i was kinda relying on everyone else also having stuff set out for a yardsale so it could get the people in. Then maybe, just maybe I might have been able to sell some of my things. With what I got now there is no way anyone would even stop. They would just drive on.

    Do you have a lawn mower?? Start knocking on doors!

    My first business (I was 10 at the time) was stripping Cascara bark. (you do know what Cascara bark is used for) ;)

    The neighbors had some of these in their back yard.

    Those White Willows bought my school clothes all through high school. (organic Aspirin)

    There were lots of mature Oak trees in the neighborhood. I always paid for Christmas when I was a kid by harvesting the Mistletoe from them.

    So look around, a little imagination goes a long ways.

    Why do that when you can panhandle for juice on ecf? ;)

    I come here to vent when I am in times of need. But I do try to help others when i can.

    As for mowing lawns. With what small amount i'd have to charge to get people to let me do that here I'd lose out on money cause the cost for gas. Plus it isn't my mower to do what i want with. Everyone around our neighborhood mows their own yards.

    So the reality is that you don't want a job.
    Or is the "lawn mower" the limit of your imagination?

    Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

    You can always find excuses, but very seldom will you find a reason.

    Considering I want an actual job and can't find one and the fact i'd like to actually be happy for once in my life. So far no luck on any of those things. I can't exactly try to find my own place on a lawn mower salary. Can't even get that on min wage. A lot of places look at my gaps in work history and my age and just ignore me. It is enough to get a person stressed, depressed and unconfident. Add this on to the fact i already suffer from depression and self esteem issues there are many times I get to thinking it's all pointless. What helps to get me through the day is my nicotine. i smoked for 14 years. i quit in september. So far I have been doing well at it but here lately I have been feeling like I am just going to break down completely. I want to work. I want to be out making money I want my own place. But it feels like it is never going to happen. I always thought i'd be married with a family and a good job at this point in my life. When I look at my life and what i have accomplished i realize i haven't done nothing. I feel like a waste of space. It is hard to motivate myself to much of anything. Thank you for trolling me though and helping to remind me how worthless I am. People like you will never know what it is like for someone like me.

    That reads like the story of my life and I'm not trolling you, but I start each day with the things I can change that day and that day only. If I thought about the things I've failed at or where my future is headed it would drive me nuts. I always thought I'd be happily married with a few kids but instead find myself on the verge of being single again at 38 years old and going through a divorce. And this is when I think of my favorite quote,"life sucks get a helmet."

    The reality is you have two choices in hard times you give in and let them beat you or you scratch and claw for a way to beat them. I hope things look up for you but "venting" on the internet isn't going to change anything you have to get out there and make them change.

    Part of the problem is I can't shut my brain off. It thinks about it even when I don't want it too. Hell I wasn't even able to get any sleep last night because my brain wouldn't shut off. Ended up in a worse mood after I got back up then I was when I laid down. It doesn't also help whenever I do try to do something, not much happens and if things actually get better, then bam i fall and am worse them i was before. I am to a point where I am stressing all the time. If I was a smoker i'd be bumming smokes left and right smoking like a chimney. One thing that has been good with vaping is when I can actually get me up a lot of juice, it last me quite a while and I don't need to bum smokes or anything and money spent wise, i have saved a lot compared to what I would have spent already on cigarettes. I need to keep the nicotine in me though to at least keep myself calm and having a break down. I know there are some like yourself that can understand. I also know there are others who don't. I just wish those people would at least have the sense to keep their mouths shut. They assume just cause someone isn't working it means their lazy. Some people just have an easier time find working then others. Both of my younger sisters have had no trouble finding work. With me I was lucky if I could even get an interview. When I do get lucky and get one, they usually give me some lame excuse like "we have other people to interview but you should hear something back by tomorrow" and of course I never do. These managers don't even have the balls to just tell me I don't got the job. Id rather hear that then some lame excuse. Also I am limited in what I can do because of only having a GED and having back issues. I used to have no problems with it. Then I worked at Walmart for a while as an unloader. It messed my back up. Not to mention I also got some issues with my legs and occasional problem where sometimes my heart will just start beating fast and I have trouble breathing. Been having that issue since I was a teenager. Luckily it only ever happened to me once when i was at a job. It seems to just happen at random times. i wish I could just afford to get a physical done and get completely checked over.
