Vaping, carbonation, and coughing? Am I alone?

So I've been vaping exclusively for a few years now, usually around 90-95 watts with my herakles. But, every time I drink something carbonated, before or after taking a hit, I get a tickle and cough. This is the only time (just about) that I cough from vaping.
I asked my coworkers at the vape shop I work at if they experience this too, and they don't. So do any of you get this? Am I alone here?
It's strange :/

I'm trying to think this through. I don't get why this can happen.

Only with carbonated drinks?

Mouth to lung or direct lung inhale?

Sorry to say, this is the first I've read of it happening.

Once in a great while my vape will give me a throat tickle. Not from carbonated drinks, I no longer drink them and haven't in years. Don't know why the vape does it when it happens but it is Very infrequent.

That's a first. I don't think the carbonated drink is the culprit though but rather it is showing up an issue in the mucous membrane lining of your throat-perhaps a heat sensitivity if you are vaping close to 100 watts continuously throughout the day. I bet it doesn't happen when you drink cold water.
Sorry not much help here and I'm only guessing.

I used to get a really bad itch/tickle in one spot in my throat, almost once a day, when I used nichrome coils. I would try really hard to not cough because it didn't help at all; it would last like 30 seconds at most, and then sometimes I could feel a bubble or something... Like my throat bubbled in that one spot, it was really weird. It stopped when I stopped using the Kanger protank/t3d coils

Edit: I'm not saying it was the coils themselves, could also be higher nicotine content irritating spots on my throat - acidic colas and I suppose carbonation can irritate throats as well, so maybe combined they do a supercombo on you

Vaping high wattage is drying out your throat. Go to Walmart and buy some Biotine mouthwash. Use it periodically and it will restore your taste buds and the moisture in your palate. Buy the small bottle. It only takes a teaspoon full. Swish it around and gargle it.

If your juice is high VG it's contributing to the dry out in your throat. The vapor is impressive, but flavor suffers and it sucks up the moisture in your palate.

Yeah, only carbonated usually. And I do straight to lung. It is quite weird:/

Hmm, I'll try that, even if it doesn't help the carbonation tickle, maybe I'll taste my juice even more, since I stick to creamy desserts;)
I normally run 50/50 or 60/40 since it's best for tanks, but of course the occasional 70/30.

And im not sure it's the high wattage. I was curious, so for about half a day I ran something closer to 50 or 60, still got the tickle. And it's only for a few seconds after taking a sip.
