I wish I had a funny vaping catastrophe story, but other than unscrewing a coil deck and watching the juice run out across my hand, that's about it. DUH!

Then, there's the time when I was new to TC vaping. I wound a Titanium coil and dry burned it. There was a red glow, a puff of smoke, and a flash as it burned in two. Later on, I was told that you can't dry burn Titanium. Cool! I went to SS316 and forgot about TI.

Ever have someone try and steal your mod while an accomplice attempts to create a diversion? Not just mine, but several others...it didn't go so well for them. (in a local B&M vape shop no less while I was visiting friends...it just happened to be a new house juice tasting day and all the dregs were out lol...)

I had someone steal a brand new MiniVolt with a Nautilus Mini at a bar in Nashville last year. I was hammered and left it on the bar (was allowed to vape at the bar) when I went to the washroom. Came back and it was gone.

When I say it was new, I literally opened the box, charged it for an hour and lost it a couple hours later. I owned it for a grand total of 3 hours.

Best part? I needed a replacement mod and found a vape shop around the corner from my hotel. Dude felt bad for me and sold me a SX Mini M series for $59.

2 day old Smok R200. Watching a movie, having some beers but had a long day. Feel asleep and the beer spilled on the new mod. I woke up with the beer spill, shook it off, pressed the button for a hit and it flashed brightly and Smok came out. $50 down the drain.

I hate a mod that can't hold its beer.

The worst I ever had it was when my battery charger quit charging and I had to use an Ego 650 battery for my regular Kanger subtank for SIX whole hours. It looked like the ALIEN in the movie, it's head was too big! And the vapor was so weak.....pfft.

I am seeing law firms on TV now saying "if you had an e cigarette blow up causing pain injury or even death call us now " you can be entitled to substantial compensation .

They actually have an e cig injury hotline .
I can't like this

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
The only catastrophe i have experienced is letting my finger slip off a spool of new wire , what a nightmare that was, "holy cow" i was completely entangled .

I had fallen and could not get up but refused to call for assistance , too embarrassing , was found the next day still alive but barely.

I love it.

Let them waste their money trying to get money for survivors.

Good plan. Unless she is has a habit of pinching people's mods. ;)

Great place though. I am not a country guy at all but love Chris Stapleton, so we came all the way from Toronto to see him play the Ryman for his first time. That and a Predators game and a bunch of other touristy things. :thumb:

Beautiful! Can't wait to see ambulance chasers trying to sue Sony, LG or Samsung because their clients hurt themselves using batteries in an application they weren't intended for.

Good luck with that one!

Don't like it. Those companies might take measures to avoid their batteries being sold to us.

I don't understand a legal system in which ignorance and stupidity are used to make profits.

I understand that in some cases a company can be liable for a defective product but as I understand ecig thermal runaways are user induced. Am I wrong?

A legal system used to make profits? Welcome to the US.

In almost all cases you're correct, it's usually the user who is the source of the problem. But people hate being responsible for their action, so it's always someone else's fault. Tripped on the totally normal steps because you were in a rush? Sue the building owner. you'll probably get a settlement out of it. Of which your lawyer gets 30% (50% if it goes to trial). Just truth and justice in the law, no financial incentives there.
