The usual suspect is dehydration. It is unbelievable how much water it takes from your body to vape. That's the one big downside of vaping. If you don't get it by drinking your body has to rob it from your blood, tissue, etc. It can be very serious.

Second guess is a PG or VG reaction.
Third guess is that you are allergic to the filler in the cartomizers.
Fourth guess is that you're allergic to the flavors

Happy to send you 3ml samples of pure pg and pure vg sample at your nic level with no flavor. Try each one and see how that works. PM me if interested. If that seems weird, I understand. However, you need samples of your nic level juice in a PG base 100% and a VG base 100%. Vape it in a clean atomizer rather than through cartomizer filler. Add each thing a step at a time. over several days. You'll figure it out. I'm so sorry you have to smoke again. I hope you're back to vaping soon.

Thanks for that extremely informative concise post pm sent :)

Thanks to everyone else as well. Real help had given up on vaping but gonna give it another try.

If you are using LR (low resistance) atomizers and cartomizers, that increases nicotine's hit and may give larger drags, increasing any irritation

If you are using extreme nicotine or 100% PG w/ nicotine - nicotine is skin irritant. Some VG in the ratio will help buffer the irritation unless you vape excessively. (re excessive vaping if that is an issue - my solution is to leave the ecigs in another room)

Or you could be someone who is actually allergic to either PG or VG

Are you vaping any flavors known to cause irritation (like cinnamon or anything like that)?

If you REALLY want to keep vaping, you will start making your own juice so you KNOW what the problem is. Just get a bit of PG and VG, and some nic. You will need nic from 100% pg and some with 100% vg. Dont flavor it. You will need to make 3 small batches. One that is a mix, about 30% vg, 70% pg, and nic. Vape and see what happens. If you feel the side effects, then go 100% pg with pg nic. If that doesnt work, use 95% vg and vg nic and mix it with 5% DISTILLED water. Try that one. If none work you know your problem. If one does work, you know which item to avoid. If they all work, you need to get your juice from a different supplier.
It is not uncommon to find an allergen in a flavoring. It is something many of us forget about.

You might be able to find some vapors in your area willing to trade you these supplies in exchange for your unused juice.

A couple things:
Yes but had really bad ulcers in that time so couldn't really do much. The ulcers were there for a week when I vapid a very small amount each day then swapped to cigs and they went in a couple of days. It seemed they wouldn't heal until I stopped.

These ulcers that are coming and going, describe them. From what I understand, an ulcer can only be seen by sticking a camera down your throat so I'm kinda curious as to what you're considering an ulcer. Acid reflux (heartburn)? Sores in your mouth?

Another thing to be careful of for someone new to vaping with cartomizers is making sure that there is enough juice in the carto. If you let it run too dry, it can result in the polyfill burning, which can cause headaches and excessive dry mouth. This could be the cause to all of your problems. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I don't want to give bad advice, but I've experienced these symptoms from letting the carto run dry many times.

Somewhere out there
I did have some headaches when I first started and a few mouth ulcers, but nothing extreme. I also started rinsing my mouth out a couple times a day with just water and that helped. I lowered my nic level and so far so good. Something else I tried is taking a warm wet clean wash cloth and putting it over my mouth and breathing in to get some moisture into my lungs, I felt like they are getting dried out from vaping. That also helped. I am not sure what e liquid you are using but you could try the VG and mix your own flavors, it may work better. Some cartos and liquids store bought can be pretty nasty tasting. Good luck and I hope you find an answer to get off the analogs. bnrk
