So I started vaping about 4 months ago in January. I bought a Juul and mostly just vaped for the buzz that the Juul gives. But over the past months I've been having constant chest pains, constant bloating and sore neck muscles as well as now I have trouble breathing. Never in my life have I had any problems with these things so I am 100% sure it's due to vaping. I've gone through so much Tums/PPI's and simethicone within the past months, but nothing makes it go away except when I stop vaping altogether. I went to the doctor and everything is fine I got an ECG ect. Do I have some sort of intolerance to PG? or something. I don't vape all day either just a couple puffs here and there. But when I do, I usually take 3 straight lungs hits and hold it in to get a good rush. I tried to just do mouth to lung but that also causes the same problems. I don't want to give up the Juul at this point but what should I do? Should i get an unflavored juice or max VG/PG?

In my opinion you need to go see a doctor. If you have chest pains and your other symptoms. Maybe you body doesn't like vaping but it could be a underlying problem that vaping seems to trigger. Also when you vape you need to re hydrate with water. We are not doctors on here so we can't say it's nothing. It could be your body doesn't like high PG but be safe and see a doctor and discuss things with him/her and see what they say and then take it from that point

Then stop.

Why would you want to continue something that you say gives you "constant chest pains, constant bloating and sore neck muscles as well as now I have trouble breathing" ?

smh...

So, you're definitely vaping primarily for the "buzz" from the 50mg nic in the Juul. Sounds to me like you were never a smoker and don't vape for the same reason most do.

Taking 3 DTL hits of 50mg nic eliquid quickly in a row...is going to result in that person experiencing some side effects. Your body is telling you to stop it...it doesn't like it, or you'll pay the consequences for it! ;)

ETA: Seems to me that what you're doing is similar to someone repeatedly hitting their thumb with a hammer and experiencing bad pain, throbbing, bruising, limited use of their thumb, etc. when they do it. Then asking what could be causing those things and how to stop them from happening. JMO.

Errr well I mean smoking anything in general is plain ignorant to say the least, I think that's been established. Blows my mind people smoke...just to smoke? Don't understand if not a rush they get from it then why why why smoke. But I'm wondering if anyone had any similar experience to mine at first? is it most likely the PG? or I guess it's just something I have to figure out and try a bunch of different combos? Man I'm jealoussss of those that don't get these reactions!

Most of your symptoms can be related to nicotine consumption/over dose,,, the breathing difficulty to VG or the juul bringing to light an underlying as of yet undiagnosed pulmonary problem(s).
Breathing is kinda important, seems a really bad idea to play with something that causes any breathing issues.

Continuing to do something that gives you these types of reactions is beyond silly. Trying to find a work around even sillier.

Hey doc it hurts when I do this,,, doc to patient - then don't do that... It really is that simple.

Vaping is not for everybody, some folks just can't.

If for some reason you just can't control yourself & must vape side effects be damned use 0 nic 50/50.

Vaping is considered tobacco harm reduction, a healthier alternative to inhaling the byproducts of smoldering tobacco.

I started smoking in order to stunt my growth - I read that was a side effect of smoking. By the time I was ready/intelligent enough to quit I was addicted.

I spent nearly 20 years of my life searching for a way to quit cigarettes that actually worked. I found that way in vaping.. I now no longer vape. I used it the way it was intended and invented to do - a means to quit an addiction - and then I walked away.

Vaping is safer than smoking cigarettes - but breathing nothing but clean air is best, and safer still.

Yeah, sadly, it's hard to hear but you're probably right. Vaping is most likely not for me. Besides all those problems, at first when i started and didn't have those problems, I've never felt better than I have when vaping, that's why I'm trying to work around it - it really helped me through a stressful time. It could be a simple pg/vg issue but no idea. I guess I'm going to lay off it for now and order a 100% VG unflavored juice and start up again see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, you guys are all right, I should probably quit use while I'm ahead eh.

If you're having "trouble breathing" after using the juul, high % Vg would be a step in the wrong direction.

Many folks myself included have a sensitivity to Vg that causes tight heavy chest feeling leading to difficulty breathing normally up to elephant standing on chest hard to take a breath.

Better to find healthy ways to deal with your stresses like strenuous exercise or a hobby than to use anything that causes side effect like you mention.

Wow good stuff! Congrats on quitting both!

Your welcome. I want you to know something though. The reason most vapers, vape is because they were so addicted to smoking and for so long that quitting vaping would mean a return to smoking - vaping for most is all that stands between them and a cigarette. I was able to break that cycle but it wasn't easy.

A "nicotine buzz" is something 95% (or more) of vapers haven't experienced in 30 years or more. That nicotine buzz aspect goes away VERY quickly, as soon as your body acclimates itself to nicotine..

It's not why we vape.
