Nicotine has to be detoxified in the body. That requires significant water from the body. ALSO requires B vitamins, which you have to replenish daily as well, since the body doesn't store these. Most people vaping will likely use more nicotine, at least at first, because nicotine absorption is different.
Interesting that smokers don't complain about dehydration as much from smoking, but it seems that most smokers often have a drink while smoking .... coffee, tea, soft drink etc. ... so maybe it just became melded into the habit.
For instance, I drink a lot less coffee etc. when vaping and not smoking. So maybe vaping ends up changing your drinking habits ... so maybe it's not that vaping makes you more dehydrated than smoking, maybe you're simply drinking less fluids.
But detoxification is certainly going to use up a lot of water in your body ... whether it caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, etc.

Yeah, I've read in the Beginners' Instructions (Yes, that's me, always reading all possible manuals and instructions) that vaping dehydrates - and it puzzles me. How come? Obviously the vapour we ingest is not all water, but I would think that we are getting more water in this way than from the smoke from analogs. Hah, something else to study
