Vaping for 4 years now and need some guidance on the state of the art

Well i'm going on 4+ years now and started as most did with a standard 3.7v system. Tried gallons of different juices and lot's of different delivery systems, made my own mods.

I am now just a user, no longer a gadget guy and have settled into 1 favorite juice and my precious BE-112 atty's at 5-6v.

I see that most of the world is surrounding the 510 atomizer now and I have some, but I'd live to stick with the BE-112's.

Now to my point:

I was just about to order a ProVari with an 801 adapter, but thought I would check to see what other top shelf variable voltages options are out there?

I don't have a problem with dropping a couple hundred bills, but I want the best, most reliable option out there. I just want my nicotine as uninterrupted as humanly possible.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but this place has grown so much, I am having a bit of trouble navigating it these days.

Thanks in advance for any input or reviews!

Paul

The ProVari is a solid mod...I have one it has been trouble free for over a year now. But anything that has electronics has the potential for trouble...the more electronics the more potential. I have a couple 5 volt regulated mods I really like and I use my Bombshell Stinger with a Kick quite a bit. I have pure mechanical mods that will probably be working great long after I am dead and gone.

I would look at the ProVari, Vision VV Transformer/Vamo, and even some simple 5 volt regulated box mods.

The suggestions so far are pretty on par with what I would say. The only other mod I've even looked at since getting my provari mini is a VV Reo. I can say from experience the provari is fantastic and the Reo mods look awesome. It'd be almost laughable to say get both, unless money is not an issue or you get some generous christmas bonus ;) . Hope you get what you're looking for.

watch the pbusardo review of the vamo and then think again and he is fan of the provari then shop around for the vamo because it can be had for less than he got his --i love mine -- or wait for the janty mid or look at the joye or ovale evic --- those are the latest as far as pure mechanical look at the electric angel

Well at 4 years I'm sure that you are well aware that no PV is any better than what you use on it, so you should expect even more of a learning curve for what atty/clearo/cartos you will like on a 510 PV than the PV itself.

You will find it hard to find a PV that is any better than the Provari, it is just an all round solid PV.
Most of the advanced PV's out of China haven't been around long enough to have a track record. Those that have been around long enough seem to be a bit lacking in the longevity department. They just don't seem to be willing to use buttons, switches & connectors that last.

Honestly, I personally don't feel the provari is worth THAT much. I've used two provari's, one for an extended period of time, I just don't feel I would ever pay the price that provape wants for one. Yeah, they're sturdy as hell and very well machined - but functionality wise it's identical to my buzz pro. I may just be biased because I own a buzz, but the provari will pull your pants down to your ankles even with a belt on and the menu system drives me NUTS. You do get used to the menus, but there will always be times where either a button click doesn't register or you overshoot a menu and have to start over again. I much prefer being able to turn my thumbwheel and be done with it. I also feel my buzz gets substantially better battery life.

That being said, I've been thinking very hard about getting a VV REO Grande. If you like atties and want to step up to something VV, you really can't go wrong with a bottomfeeder. They also look to be a lot smaller than I originally thought. The REO VV also has the same VV circuitry in it that notcigs uses in their devices. Another cool idea I've been tinkering with is a regular REO Grande with a kick, which would allow you to basically take the batteries out and wash the whole thing in the sink if it gets nasty, which I think is pretty neat.

    Just food for thought.

Thanks all for the input, I really appreciate it! I have been disconnected for so long, it's hard to re-figure it all.

I have found over the years using both mechanical and electronic switch that I am going to go the electric switch route.

My first mods were my own flashlight & box mods. I then got the PS Prodigy 2nd Gen and loved it until the switch went out. My favorite was the Chuck (I don't know if Jeff is still around), built to last, but after a year I lost it somewhere. But I didn't like the restriction to only 6v.

I jumped over to the X-Haler because I liked the idea of NO switch after the Prodigy issue, but keeping it conductive was a challenge, so I went to the PS V3 and have the same issues on keeping it conductive. There seems to be more of an issue with the mechanical's staying conductive than the electronic switch models as far as consistency. My recent issue with the V3 has prompted this thread. Well that and the fact that I got a little work bonus to finance it :)

I currently am using the V3 as well as a USB pass-through and the pass-through is always consistent until it completely drops dead.

As far as cost, the reason I don't care about it is, I want the most dependable known product so I can just vape in peace and not have to worry about it and I know "You get what you pay for".

So that whole story being said, and taking the greatly appreciated input from all of you, I have narrowed it down to the following:

    Pro Vari
    Buzz Pro
VVV Transformer - although I'm suspicious about the 59.95 price tag compared to the first 2 on my list, the old "You get what you pay for" thing.

Now I'm off to look up written and video reviews and make a decision by this weekend. Out of the box is one thing, but 1 - 2 years down the road is another.

Again, I just want to say "Thanks!" to all of you, it really is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Paul

P.S. Anyone know of any promo codes on these?
