Well, one reason could be that vaping isn't healthy thing to do. With the information we have now it seems that it's a lot healthier than smoking, but still not healthy. And you never know what the long termn side effects are. So by quitting vaping you can avoid possible diseases that come from long termn use.
I guess using your reasoning you could say 'nothing is safe' eating too much salt can kill you, drinking too much water can kill you, dairy products, eggs, and leafy greens might be contaminated with salmonella and kill you, a caffeine overdose can kill you..

I know what I am introducing into my system when I vape, and none of it in reasonable amounts is known to have ANY long term effect:
nicotine - in small amounts not toxic and may have some positive effects, improves short term memory, reduces incidence of ulcerative colitis, decreases symptoms of adhd
PG non-toxic, used in toothpaste, cake mix, nebulizers and asthma inhalers
VG non-toxic used in many foods, cosmetic products nebulizers and asthma inhalers
Food Grade Flavoring safe with some precautions- avoid food flavorings with diacetyl, acetaldehyde and capsaicin.

Now, please tell me what is it about vaping that you think might cause "long term effects"

Stop that BS that e-cigs are unharmful or safe. You could start here and read about all the members who have had to stop using e-cigs because of the serious side effects they got: Health, Safety and E-Smoking

No one knows what the long termn effects will be when inhaling these stuff. No one knows what it will do to the lungs in the end when used 10, 20 or 30 years. Just like analogs, these could seem pretty unharmful when not used every day (analogs aren't killer sticks either if you don't smoke a lot and every day), but in a long termn it could kill you like analogs do.

Fact: We don't know the long termn effects. We are all laboratory rats. 20 years from now and we are all a bit smarter.

I hate to agree with this guy, but he is right... PG and VG may be used for other common things, but I doubt anyone has ever inhaled these things all day, every day like us vapers do. An inhaler is 2-3 puffs per use, and how much VG/PG is in an inhaler? Also, how much fluid is being inhaled when using an inhaler?... MAYBE .3ml in a day if someone has really bad asthma. There may be PG/VG in inhalers, but how much?

Us vapers are taking in 1-6+ ml of a solution that is mostly PG/VG per day... we really are doing the experimentation here... what will our lungs look like in 20 years? Who knows...

Vaping SEEMS healthier than smoking... its a wonderful, wonderful alternative... but how safe is it? We just dont know...

I know one thing and that it is 1,000 times better for you than cigarettes. I smoked for over forty years and have COPD to prove it. I have been vaping for 17 months and my lungs and breathing has improved dramatically.

My breathing has improved a lot as well... but I can still tell that I'm inhaling something into my lungs that shouldnt be there. Sometimes my lungs hurt just a bit, I can feel it... I cough sometimes too...

Am I planning to stop vaping? No... Do I love it? Yes!

I've been tracking expenses (about 6 months) with this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/127457-simple-e-cig-break-even-calculator.html#post1991007 and use the figures for my signature. Saved a lot so far, even after buying a shiny new mod.

That calculator is gold. Had to adjust a bit given that I have not commenced ecigs yet still waiting for them to arrive but in Australia due to 0 tax on e cigs and a helluva lot of tax on tobaco I am in front after 6 days.

A pack of 25s here costs $15.00 Australian dollars if you buy it by the carton i.e. 8 packs at a time. Thats $16.30 $US!

With my $100AUD investment in gear and e juice assuming I do use only 4mL per day I am in front after 6 days.

Times when I get caught out and have to buy a packet of smokes at a service station you can pay anywhere up to $20.00 a packet...

If I can stick to ecigs or importantly any Australian who can stick to ecigs is really sticking one to our ridiculous government around regulation and taxation. In the back of my mind it is one of the reasons I am keen on the idea of making the switch.
