I bought a disposable e-cig last time I did jury duty. It was for sale from a big rack right in front of the cash registers in the Bexar County Court House cafeteria (this is in San Antonio, TX). I bought it with my lunch. Sat down ate my lunch, took the e-cig out of the package and started using it. There was an officer in the next booth. Not one word was said. Calling someone a liar just because you can't wrap your head around what is true. I call BS. LOL

my courthouse is tiny and wont let you bring anything metal other than your belt buckle, and keys into the courthouse. wish i could bring my PV with me.

I haven't had any head turns but I haven't really vaped in public yet apart from pub restaurants. A couple of people did a double take when they saw the vapour but quickly realised it was an e-cig and carried on with their business. Staff and tables next to us don't bat an eyelid even when there's sometimes 4 of us vaping away.

It helps that e-cigs are becoming pretty commonplace in my town and there's stores opening all over :)

Meh, just slowly getting back into vaping.

But before when I really vaped I used to get the (...) look all the time from people. Some would ask me, others would blatantly stare until I asked them if they were curious. I remember I vaped my first day at a job a few months ago before I got laid off (wee :-/ ) and all the employees were like wow that's really cool and asked me so many questions that we forgot about the customers ( i worked at a very large electronic retail store, not going to say due to obvious reasons but most can figure it out in the US ) Then I met a fellow vaper! And I was so pumped, sadly I met him on my last day after I got the news that they couldn't afford to keep me after the season.

Other than those incidents, I really haven't had too too many people make a scene about it. Just your average ordinary gasps and stares and snotty stares that I have to address :) hehe

I'm a little self conscious , but it's getting easier. Vaped first time in a Mexican restaurant on Sunday. I did ask the waiter if it was ok first and then my wife and I just vaped away. Sitting in the car waiting in a parking lot at trader Joe's an older couple got in their car in front of me and watched me for a while before leaving. The husband ran over a curb by mistake , so perhaps flustered a bit at what he had seen (or new vehicle, or just a bad driver).

Outside I have no issues at all....stores I feel a bit weird.

Usually in my car as I am driving...although I walked into Target the other day and heard someone behind me say "Is that lady smoking?" and her friend said "Nope, she's got one of those electronic cigarette thingies..." I stealth vape at my desk all day and also go outside occasionally with the smokers. I've gotten quite a few smokers hooked on these things :)

I don't vape inside public places. I still go outside. Every once in a while someone will ask me about it and I really enjoy showing it off and showing how it works. I usually get a good laugh when I say something like "Today I'm sampling a nice Cappucino flavor flown in from North Carolina. Yesterday was an Irish Creme and tomorrow I'm thinking of maybe a Tropical Citrus produced locally." :p
