Vaping in the car

Not trying to be a thread killer, but i am curious if any other newbies here feel a bit strange at a stoplight while they vape? Maybe it's just because i am new to vaping, but i often wonder if those next to me in a car thinks i'm hitting a crack pipe or something or if a cop pulls up, will he know it's an ecig! ha Guess it's just cause i'm a newbie, but it definitely beats smoking those nasty cigs any day!

Same here. I only vape in the car if others can't see me or. I want to avoid the situation of explaining to the cop that this is just juice. I swear officer.

Plus I don't like calling attention to myself. At home though, it's open vape season lol.

Glad I read this, I thought my headlights weren't much but I guess there is a film over my windshield.

Damn! Didn't know about this film. Considering I started vaping in December, with all the road salts and dirty tire sprays and whatnot I haven't noticed any film

I want to get a set up like yours so I can vape and drive, to damn hard and dangerous to drip and drive. If Im using my magma ill fill the well full so ill have atleast 10 very good pulls, thats my best option now.

I just got my nemesis today so just for fun I wanted to fog the car up, lets just say my ex wasnt happy when she got in and its only a 1/4 mile.

Rain x wipes do the trick and keep it off for longer . I just keep them up front because at night it gets very difficult to see

I don't notice any residual smell in my car from vaping. But I have noticed that my clouds do like to leave residue on my windows. I think whether you open your windows or not is your preference.

Nothing lingers from the vape for me, I vape in my Cts all the time and there no effect on it. Although I do wonder sometimes when I open my door and a cloud of vapor come rolling out what people think.

In Texas with the dry, hot weather I really don't notice any film. The wife will sometime notice one, but it's pretty rare. I vape hard both on the way to and home from work. Sunroof cracked for me most of the time. On a real nice day windows and roof wide open.

I used to feel the same way until one day at a stop light, the person next to me honked his horn to get my attention. He wanted to know if it helped me quit smoking, because he was thinking about strting to vape in order to quit.

A little later (about a week, i guess), a policeman next to me got my attention, and a similar conversation took place.

I don't feel so weird anymore

How are you cleaning the "film" of the windshield after you did not listen to the advice to keep the window open? I used glass cleaner and I thought that it was fine until I was driving at night and the car got a little warm and I saw that the film was still there, just pushed around.

I generally keep a window cracked (even with the -20 wind chill) when I vape - force of habit from when I smoked. It's also nice to have fresh air flow even when I'm not vaping. I use windex and get rid of the film...not even close to as bad as it was when I smoked. Had to clean the windows at least once a week then.

Rain x wipes leaves nothing behind - I crack window when I can but still some gets on the windows - summertime won't be a problem keeping windows open - too cold now

I used to smoke in my car with the windows down, and all I can say is after cleaning the car real well, and vaping with the windows up 6 days a week, 50+ miles a day, I have had no smell issues, and no residue on the windows or anywhere else. My car now smells a lot better than it did when I smoked, that's for sure.

Might depend on the atty you have on, if its a cloud maker you might hot box yourself in, lol

I vape in my car. Used to smoke in it and wish I didnt. But oh well. Maybe the smoke smell will go away with how much I vape. The beauty of vaping is you don't have to roll the window down in the winter to ash out the window or clear out the smoke. But I do roll it down to clear out my cloud.
