I went to the local mall today for lunch and a brief walk. I intentionally went in the door where i knew the E-cigg kiosk was. I've passed these guys up several times before i started vaping, but only now that I am vaping, wondered what the mall policy was on vaping inside.

I stopped and asked the guy if he knew. He really didnt. He said they let him (obviously) and he has seen other people doing it (but not sure if he meant patrons to his kiosk, or in general). To be honest, it was hard to understand him.

I wanted to ask at the Information Booth if they had a policy for, or against vaping in the common areas, but noone was at the booth.

I saw one police officer or security guard but didnt feel like having that discussion at the time.

I'm sure this is discussed in other section of the forum, but I am trying to get my 15 posts... so... here it is!

Does your local Shopping Mall have an established or official policy regarding vaping? What about the individual storefronts?

Sorry, I don't shop at the malls... just on-line.
Me neither.. i thought how pointless the huge space was. With all the kids out of school it was a circus. I think parents drop them off for the day.

I work from home, which usually means I microwave something and eat at my desk or watch tv for lunch. Today Yo quieroed Taco Bell and to get out of the house so i went;)

If they let the guy at the kiosks do it they can't legally stop you from. They can ask you to put it away or to leave be aide of it. I'd suggest not doing it in stores without asking first as with Michigan each store is allowed to set it's own policy on it. But the walkways are under general mall policy, the same that the kiosk fall under.

This is what i figured. I guess i am still concerned about what others think. Surely people see someone walking around with clouds of "smoke" coming from their mouth, they are going to be weirded out. Will have to just get over that.

this could be an opportunity to educate people. Whether asked, or just getting stares, I could hand them a business card or small flyer to explain vaping.

Are there any such printed material available here through the forums? I'd be really interested in printing some to give to people at the bar, mall, wherever.

About everyone I order from sends a business card with their stuff. You could ask a vendor to send you extras to hand out. I'm sure they won't complain about free advertising.

Also, I've found most people don't act on things. I'm willing to bet I could light an analog and walk the mall wItuout anyone stopping me for at least half of it(assuming I could choke down half of one now).

I vape (most) everywhere. I'm loving the relief from itching for a cig after dinner in a restaurant and the need to hurry up and leave for a nic fix. It's nice to relax and enjoy conversation after dinner without that urge. I don't blow clouds of vapor in a closed environment. I'm discreet, choose lower vapor-producing juice and hold it in for a moment to dissipate the vapor further and blow down and away. I've not had anyone pick on me about it. I use fairly large mods (5v GLV2 and Silver Bullet). I vape at big box and grocery stores, theaters, parks - most anywhere. If I feel like I'm in too tight of quarters I vape in the hall or restroom. I could never get away with that with a real cig!

Rather than just a business card, I mean something with information about vaping. Some general information and a link to these forums, for example. I can make one easily enough, just figured someone else already had;)

You can always get yourself some Free ECF Business Cards to hand out!

I have been vaping in public places just TRYING to get someone to ask me to stop!! Darn the luck - nobody has told me that yet! I am vaping in places I never would have smoked even if I could have....just to see if I can get someone's attention! Either the ECig thing is really catching on...or...no idea on this one!

Guess I'm going to have to vape while I'm in the lobby at the dentist OR filling the gas tank.......
:)
