i vape everywhere, i don't mean that disrespectfully either

i work in a non smoking non vaping place, we can't even smoke/vape on the property...i sit at my desk and vape all day long, taking hits, getting flavor and a throat hit...just don't exhale vapor

i've done this in bars that are non smoking, the movie, theatre, stores...you name it, if ppl don't see vapor and your getting satisfaction then whats the big deal? it's usually only when ppl see "smoke" they start getting offended, even a girl i was on a first date with i took a puff when we were outside looked at me odd and then didn't care at all about it

i've never had anyone complain about the smell even in places i can vape...in almost two years no ones been offended yet *knock on wood*

I do not vape in stores or restaurants, Just because when I "smoked" it wasn't allowed, I can wait till I get outside just like I did when I smoked.

I just hope the casino's I visit never ban cigs or vape. I don't mind sitting next to someone who is smoking, I'm not one of those ex smokers who tell people to put out their butts. And when I did smoke and at a slotmachine I always made it a point to put my pack and lighter on the machine to let people know that a smoker was very near :) and I do the same with my PV

my local casino is in the process....they banned ecigs in the casino, except for smoking locations....the poker room my brother used to be able to vape, can no longer vape

I'm with dakotabear on this one. I think whether or not you should be able to smoke or vape inside should be up to the business owner, not the government.

For example, when my state made it illegal to smoke indoors, I was very upset. You couldn't even smoke in a bar anymore. Many business owners who allowed smoking were quite upset over the matter as well. I don't blame them. It is their business, it should be their choice.

Of course you can still smoke in the Indian casino as the laws do not apply there. Does that bother me? No. Do I like being around cigarette smoke? Not at all. The solution? I don't go to the casino. Simple as that. If you don't like it, take your business elsewhere. But it should be up the the business owner to make that choice.

Well I would never lite up in the non section of the casino, (I would never play in that section either..lol) But I always hated when someone would sit down next to me even when I had a cig going, and they would start flapping their hands and coughing, I just polity turned to them and say, there is a non smoking section you can go to. :) And that will still be my response being a vapor

If I wasnt a "vaporer", I would be able to avoid the cloud, walk around it, avoid it if it bothered me cause I would see it... but on the other end of the spectrum, the invisible "clouds" which eminate from the rear of peoples pants are the ones I find disturbing.... no warning at all, walk right into it and gag...

You remind me of a time, years ago, when I was at a mall, with outdoor sections down the middle. There were standing ashtrays near one section of the benches, so I sat down there and lit up a cigarette. A lady came all the way over to that particular bench, when there were lots of others around. She sat down right beside me, and started coughing and fanning her hands and making faces. I am normally a very considerate person, but in this case I just looked at her and kept on smoking.:)

Honestly, do they really think you're going to put it out because they chose to sit next to you while your smoking or vaping? lol I am an adult I don't need anyone informing me what I am doing may or is causing damage to my body. I have one mom and one dad (may he RIP) who can tell me what to do :) (well at least try to tell me now adays...lol

I've never felt entitled to be rude unless there's a dire emergency during which manners take a backseat and, so far, haven't seen needing a fix as one of those.

Edit: ugh... that's not true... my memory just slipped... as per vaping, I was rude once but chose to be because of who I was dealing with at the time. Vaping actually became a passive-aggressive weapon in that case. But I only took two stealth puffs in front of them, mainly, to make a point.

Because I understand people's ignorance about vaping I don't want to push the issue so vape discreetly when in public. This means I vape very little, use a stealth vaping setup and use high PG e-juice so there is no visible vapor. I have only run into one issue during over six years of vaping. I was at Nagoya, Japan airport three years ago and taking a quick vape while standing off by myself looking out a window at the Tarmac. A security guard approached me and stated I had been seen on a security camera and advised me that I should go to the smoking room. I told him I was not smoking, showed him my 650 ego with mini dripper and briefly explained what it was. He was somewhat familiar with e-cigs and again suggested I go to the smoking area. I explained that as a non-smoker he was infringing on my rights by saying I had to enter an area designed for smoking which could adversely affect my health. Now if this had of been the US I would have probably already been tazed and thrown outside but Japan is not the US. He made a quick call to his superior then advised me to continue doing what I was doing and commended me on being fair and discreet about it. As a side note some airports now having vaping lounges.

That is too funny!!

US airport = TSA: Get down on the ground, you are being detained and questioned regarding suspicious activity. And how dare you to not 'Respect my Authority.

Japanese Airport= Ok, thank you so much sir. Have a nice day and thank you for visiting Japan.

Good for you for standing up for your rights!

The key in Japan is mutual respect. I stopped vaping when asked but refused to vape in the smoking room. If he had of continued to insist I only vape in the smoking room I would have simply avoided vaping. I have a lot of respect for the security guard because during the event he was non-confrontational, showed respect and was willing to not only listen to my point but also follow up by asking his superior.

Note: TSA hates me.. I am covered in tattoos, including my face, I have multiple piercings, travel with guns and have more authority than many of them will ever attain. Even with all my paperwork in order I can expect long delays traveling through US.
