I quit smoking July 14, 2006, after about 20 yrs of Marlboro Reds. I remember the day (and the hr) because it is my twin brother and sisters' birthday. I suffered with the nicotrol gum and chewing pepper corns , because i was broke at the time. Gas stations and the Walgreens started selling these 'ecigs' around here about a year after i quit. I never really looked into them, and thought that the concept was so strange.
Little over three years ago, i was pulling a graveyard shift. I fell in love with nicotine when i was an undergrad because it is the ultimate stimulant, along w coffee. Chomping thru nicotrol wasn't helping me on graveyard, tho. Ran up to the Sheetz to pick up dinner for me and my partner. Bought a Blu, on a whim. My God, what IS this magical thing, lol. Got into rebuildables about six months after that.
vaping is glorious!! I run, skate a few shifts of hockey now and again, and have an appetite. And the rebuilding aspect keeps my hands and my mind busy.
You are quitting what is one of the WORST addictions to try to recover from. And vaping is most definitely, a valid way to do that. And it is SO successful, in helping you along your 'quit' journey. This forum is a GREAT support system, and I wish that I had that, back in 2006!!
Keep On Vaping!!!!Stay Strong!!
