when it comes to quitting smoking its a win at any cost game. cheating is allowed and encouraged if it gets you off tobacco
I agree lol, nothing wrong with not playing by the rules when trying to beat cigs , there are NO RULES , throw yourself in front of a bus if necessary , knock some sense into ya.
My never smoked dear wife was the impetus that brought me to vaping, and some of my closest friends, (never smokers) all agree, I have quit smoking via vaping...Though at first, I did feel like it was cheating, I mean, how can something that is actually pleasurable, be good for me? Well, after two and a half years, I don't think of it as cheating anymore. I think of it as WINNING!
Been there and done that thang with NRT and Smoking Cessation Courses ... and never got beyond six weeks. During those six long miserable weeks every waking moment was spent obsessing about wanting to smoke. If she's looking longingly at your vape then she still has the desire to smoke and is almost certainly heading for failure. I gave up before at the six week stage because a guy accross the road loaded his pipe with Condor and fired it up. I loved that smell and followed him round the town...and then went into the tobacconists, bought a cheap pipe and some Condor and that was it for the next few years.

@RoseJ Best thing you can do is support your friend. It would be an obvious and easy move for you to introduce her to vaping if you think she'll relapse back to smoking. But on the other hand if she's coping just fine, then vaping around her may still break her resolve. A little tricky, ain't it?
I vote with the jealous crowd. Or she's woefully uneducated/misinformed or both.

Ought to tell her it's alright to not cheat fair to save her life. Big tobacco has not cheated fair in getting her addicted to their burning bullets.
Hey now, I only have the wife get the tiny buttons if my hands are playing duke 'em with me. Not fun trying to button a shirt sleeve while punching yourself in the face. One of these days, I'll go in for a full rewiring job, ... maybe.
Nope. Vaping is awesome. I kind get what she is saying though. We have a pizza place near us that has pizza so good, you'll feel like you cheated on your spouse. Every time I have it, I feel like I owe my wife an apology. Then I realize she needs to put in a little more effort to be as good as the pizza and she actually owes me one.
I think it safe to assume that the lady in question knows that smoking is lethal. Why then, is it "cheating" when we are simply taking advantage of a new technology which will help us save our lives, or at the least, improve our quality of life.
Because they want to do things their way and damn the rest of the world for thinking of other routes.

Friend called me this morning to ask for more information about e-cigarettes, and where she can get one, NOW!
Poor thing, she's really doing it hard.
I gave her a ton of information, the location of a couple of local (and not very good) vape stores, and offered to let her borrow a spare one of mine if she wants.
The word "cheating" never came up this time.

This.^^ Cheating in school/training course = Bad
Cheating on your taxes = Bad
Cheating on your SO (unless they fired the first shot
) = BadCheating at smoking to possibly save or extend your life = Game on (rhymes with stitches)!
