Hi all,

I've been vaping now for 3 weeks.
The first kit I bought was the new T2 cc starterskit.
it's a nice clearomizer, good clouds and taste but the driptips brake so easily so after 2 weeks of use leaking all over.
Now i bought the apl518 with the C8 clearomizer, really small but perfect for @ work , battery capacity ok for almost full day @ work. Problems , yes after third fill...leaking but I think i found the solution, first sucking out the air then put liquid in.

The thing is that for work these were fine but I'm looking for something better for use at home and weekend.
I realy like the genesis style mods like orion, zenesis and katana but I did found some posts about leaking issues.
Then I found the gg penelope with clear windows that one really looks nice but it's not a genesis style mod.

So my question is that which mod Is the best cause danm it's hard to make a choice and I think it's better to invest in something like this cause buying all these different type ego carto's or clearo's is making it at the end more expensive then buying a good mod.

I hope some more expirienced vapers can help me with this

Thx in advance and sorry if my english is not perfect I'm dutch :)

Danny

Hey Dannykillls, welcome to ECF! I could give you suggestions, but it is hard since I have been vaping 2.5 years and you are new. Have you ever tried a genisis style atomizer? You may love it, you may hate it. It would be terrible to invest in something like the Katana, Zen, or Orion (if you can get one) and find out you don't like it. Perhaps a simple battery mod like a Bolt, Omega, Silver Bullet or such, and then something like the DID genisis, to see if you like genisis. If you don't like the DID, well sell it, and you can still use cartomizers, 510 atomizers, bully rebuildables, penelope, Odyseuss etc on the battery mod because you have a 510 connection. If you do like it, use it for a while, then start trying to acquire a Hybrid type setup Like the Orion, Silver Dog, Katana, or Zenesis... My 2cents worth :)

Hi jollyrogers,

Well I was also thinking about going that way also, looking at the vmax or the provari and then a rebuildable on it.,this way since I'm a novice, if changing coils takes to long I could use a carto in between :). Pffff So many choices but goin that way makes it more expensive in total then buying a hybrid when I make the sum, no?

Yep, tons of choices. That's the main reason I stuck with my simple KR808D-1 for over a year. Then, this March, I decided to take the plunge and got a Provari. VERY good decision. I haven't thought about obtaining any other PVs since; and am using standard Boge cartos in a mini sub tank. Only have to fill it up once a day and battery last all day too.

Yeah everybody talks so positive about the provari it's difficult to resist.
The tanks on the other hand, the people who know how to use it all love them but they scare me off because there are a lot of posts lots of people have lots and lots of problems wth these. I did read lots,of positive news about the boge cartos in combination with a tank

Thx Motoman101,

Yeah provari seems to be the way to go after reading a lot of reviews about it.
I was following some discussions about the new ego twist, seems that it's also a good starter unit with vv. Still for me vaping started out as the way to stop smoking filth but it's becoming a hobby because of all the choices out there and I know me that if I don't buy something good from the beginning I'll spent a lot of money on things that don't last. So gonna look for a did or penelope with a more standard battery to see if it's something for me before I'll buy a hybrid.

Thx for the help guys, now to find where I can buy these :p

well i spent the money on a hybrid that will be in next month, hope i love it. How do you like for those that have them?
I love my Orion, and it is why I have more then one. Spares and all. It is perfect size in 18650 mode and can shrink down to a stealthy 18350 mode. It is the smallest (shortest) 18350 complete setup I have ever used, and is my daily work horse. I have had others, but "IMO" non have met the mark of the Orion. I like others hybrids I have used, but always seem to go back to the Orion or Z-Atty-G/GGTS combo.

ProVari is awesome! After vaping for 2 weeks and going through several eGO's and an Innokin iTwist VV (tank system), I took the plunge and got a ProVari. As far as the carto tanks, I read a review on the Texas Tuff Tank from Vape Dudes and I love it! It uses grommets instead of caps and it has a fill hole on the tube. So far, I have not had a single one leak. I just out a SR Boge in the tank and it will last me all day. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have gone with the ProVari Mini just for ease of carrying in my pocket. But, I highly recommend the ProVari. I was still having cravings for the stinky stuff until that came in. I do not know whether it was the ProVari or just having a couple of weeks pass to get all of the analogue chemicals out of my system. But, it is hard to go wrong with the ProVari.

@JollyRogers Thanks for posting about the Orion. I am on the waiting list, but it appears that I may be waiting until next round.
