Vaping is way to complicated!

I do think that all of the information and options for ecigs can be totally overwhelming and just too much for some people to make the move to vaping. If more people just stopped by a B&M to have their questions answered and had an employee show them the most basic kit and how to use it then there would be more people making the big leap.

I fully agree. That's what I did and it helped tremendously.

I was a little lucky and started learning about ecigs back when the "cig look a likes" and egos were super popular and a mod was expensive and hard to come by. So I learned the basics 3 years ago.

But I tell you what, if I had to learn everything including all the new stuff right off the bat like Volts/ohms/watts and tanks, coil building, difference in mods ect. I think my head might fall off.

I know when I went back into vaping a month ago my head about fell off trying to suck in what I'd missed out on. Thankfully I kind of knew the ballpark I wanted to jump into and went straight for a VV/VW mod and some tanks.

Mind you I'm still learning. I don't honestly know if I feel safe just yet getting a mech mod or rebuilding an atomizer tank but I am happy to know I have plenty of time to ease my self into it lol

Yes and no...there are simple enough set ups on the market that work just fine for those that don't want to think too much. A simple single coil cartomizer on an eGo (non-VV) will give someone some relatively consistent vape with just the press of a button, and if that's all they want...that's all they'll need. With any new hobby, there's always a learning curve, and t's up to the hobbyist to decide how much of the curve to learn.

A mech is the simplest mod you could possibly get. You don't haveto use them with RBAs. Insert battery Attach atty/carto/clearo whatever, press button. Done.

Yes and no is a fair statement. You covered the no it isn't complicated rather well. First thing to view is compared to smoking, it is complicated. I mean, what is the most complicated part of smoking? Using a lighter? Deciding on the type of lighter and smokes plus brand (but by the time most get to vaping that was decided long ago, usually by going with the crowd)?

Some of us like to know if what we are spending money on is right for us and that's where it gets complicated. The word complicated is also relative. It was easy for me to absorb the information (not complicated) but the sources were scattered (complicated).

If you are going to vaping hoping it is something you will embrace you will accept it as a hobby and as you said there is a learning curve for that, so maybe complicated but not real bad. If you are like me, it was to initially stop smoking and step down nicotine until you quit, all the while at worst breaking even on money at the end but preferably saving money before getting there. Complicated. If I knew about fasttech all along that part would have been extremely easy, lol.

Now I'm thinking this may be something I will not intend to quit, but I will decide that later in the nicotine step down.

Ego + tanks + find out what juice I like + clean attys weekly = easy.
I am a noob...(not) Whats an Ego? Is that your personality? It took me 2 weeks to figure out that an Ego was a type of battery. Tank? Juice? Atty? What's an atty? Oh... you mean atomizer? What is that? The more we simplify for a noob. the easier it will be for them to do research...:)~ I do the same. Its really hard not to assume they know what we think are the simplest of terms.

Just use protected batteries, though that kind of illustrates the point. It didn't occur to me to mention that part because it's just so ingrained.

Although a lot of vendors out there warns users about what kind of battery to use, Some of them don't. And I think that is unacceptable. This goes for vendors who don't use child proof bottle caps as well. A "use at your own risk" statement does not make for a responsible vendor or manufacturer. my :2c:

I use protected batteries in my box mods. Stacked even. But those are vv box mods (can't build up pressure) and also regulated.

For all-mech stuff, consider safe-chemistry...IMR. If the protection PCB on protected Li-Ion batteries fail, they go violently thermal.

You're right. That's what I use and I'm perfectly satisfied with it. But I remember being in the new member's forum and it seemed that everybody recommended something different (and none of the recommendations were for something as simple as this).
