Vaping isn't Punk?

Ever since I started vaping all the punkers at the shows I go to talking about my vaping as conforming.
Come on, punk IS rebellion and smoking is giving into that pressure of society. vaping is an independent choice, maybe suggested by an experienced vaper. I've got some pretty punk mods too!
Anyway, rant over.
Posers will be posers and claim everyone else is a poser.

It doesn't really bother me about what they think. Just that these kids are more interested in my habits than the awesome music thats playing!

The irony is that this authenticity-seeking counter-culture (at least that is how they think of themselves) is putting pressure on you to conform to their supposedly punk ethos.

Never underestimate consumer culture's ability to thrive even in the negative side of the dialectic.

Coming from someone who was there in the 80s, trust me...nothing is punk anymore. Joey and Joe are dead, Danzig is old with a busted voice, and Johnny is doing reality shows. Vape away, my child...
