Hey all back in january I started vaping with an overpriced ego kit and quickly jumped into the vape game going to itaste vv 3, mvp, mech mods, vamo, dna30's and the like.
A few months ago I was on vacation away from the hotel and broke my mod and couldnt find a replacement near me, and was too far away from the hotel to get my backup so I bought a pack of stinkys yuck!
Not sure what happened but next thing you know Im smoking a pack a day and all my vape gear is sitting in a drawer unused. A week ago I decided to start using it again and getting back into it. I still have a array of juices tanks, mods you name it I got it. I break it out replace coils dust everything off recharge and refill, and proceed to vape away
Yay! right? No for some reason when I first started vaping it was easy to switch I was having fun with it, exploring flavors and such, no cravings to smoke an analog or anything. This time around its pretty miserable, the vapor doesn't feel right which is something I didnt have a hard time adjusting to in the beginning. and I dont feel satisfied.

Has anyone else on here had a similar experience when coming back to vaping?

well when I moved to mechs, The tank never satisfied me anymore.....

but...
Do you even sub-ohm bro?

Seems like you need a harder hit.

Vaping isnt smoking... its different. The choice to quit needs to be yours. May have been easy to make the switch... but for loads of people its still difficult... even with vaping. I would also say up ur nic level. Put 18 mg in an RDA and knock urself on ur .... then, see if you wanna smoke.

Another guy mentioned he would have a smoke and vape at the same time for a while.... and then simply realized he liked the vaping more.

just realize its the nic u crave

hi there, actually its quite the opposite for me been vaping for about 18 month now and I did try one cigarette about one month now, and it personally for me it felt horrible,

just took 3 puffs and threw it away. So I guess that it all depend on your personal taste. But i think you should try remember your original reason why you wanted to

switch to vaping from cigarette, whether it be for health benefit or other and stick to that.. Good Luck

Well then you weren't and are not ready to quite smoking. If I broke my mods and or tanks, all of them, the last thing I would do is go back to smoking. Simple I started Vaping so I could stop smoking.

In the 10+/- months you have been vaping have you thought about lowering your NIC levels so if and when you couldn't vape you weren't still hooked on Nicotine?

i haven't vaped yet. but i remember quitting smoke some 13 yrs ago when my first son was born. i quit for about 6 months. cold turkey. then one day i picked up smoke again while under stress at work. it tasted really nasty.. but after few more, i got to start enjoying it again. it was like riding bicycle. now i'm trying to quit for good so looking into vaping. not sure if it will satisfy me. for me, it's more of need to inhale and have something to get away from other things. i'm hoping the vaping will provide that. i'm sure nic is involved heavily somewhere.

If cigarettes are more attractive to you than ecigs, you weren't doing it right. I'd start over with 24mg nic and an Aspire Nautilus. If that doesn't do it for you, go the Kayfun route. There's always 36mg nic for instant satisfaction. 1 ohm coils on a mech may be your match.

Repeat this phrase over and over. "Cigarettes will kill me. Vaping will extend my life."

I'll agree with what the others said, I started at 24mg when I quit, to get that "rush" while not the same as the one with the analog, I "felt it" then dialed it back down when I "felt it" with hot flushes, nausea and palpitations *lol*

you have to really WANT to quit, honestly vaping while enjoyable now, didn't cut it in the beginning, I was committed to it ..so learn to enjoy the vape over the ciggies.

and like anything it's always better the first time, you'll be chasing that "first time feeling" forever, and just realize it's not coming. That's how it works in our brains.

good luck!!!

I've actually heard that's it is harder to quit smoking the second time when you vaped to quit smoking the first time.

I would suggest upping your nic level to help you cut down on the amount of ciggies you are smoking. Then try slowly weaning yourself off of them. It might be hard for you to just walk away from them and transition to vaping completely, like you did the first time.

Big Tobacco makes it very easy to smoke. Just open a pack, put one in your mouth and light it. I made vaping a hobby because I appreciated it so much. Since I got my taste and smell back, I can really sense a smoker nearby. I don't think they realize the smell. When I was single and starting to date again, I noticed that they kept a distance. I ended up getting a female sheep... Now that I vape I had a lot more "satisfaction" and even got married. Oh, always have spares.

Yes.
Short version...
Vape to quit 2009
Add snus and snuff to the vape, actually stopped smoking 2010
Tried a pipe and stopped vaping for the briar.
Snus added back in
Started inhaling the pipe (really wrong!)
cigarettes and......

Resumed vaping with left over gear August 2013 and it didn't work. Picked up a variety of then current gear, didn't work.

Introduced to WTA... worked.

Big plus of course to really wanting to be rid of inhaling burnt tobacco.

Today, no tobacco in any form, just vaping. It was not easy but it can be done (-:

I'm so sorry :(

Change it up. If you were not using a mech--I'm assuming this, as your mod broke--try a mech, or try a box shape. If you were using tanks, switch to drippers. If you loved drippers, get a different one, or an rba. If you didn't rebuild, try it. If you do rebuild, try different resistances, coils, etc.

Also, spares on vacations are life and death.

Vaping is satisfying to me, unless I've had a bit too much to drink. If you're in a group of smokers and you're drunk, it gets kind of hard not to smoke one.

When I'm completely sober, the vape gives me the nicotine I need to go about my day. Are you saying that it is not satifying enough to keep you off the cigarettes, or that you wish you could enjoy it more?

Unfortunately, I think after a while your tongue gets numb to the flavor. You shouldn't have that problem right now though. You probably just need to find the right flavor and blend. If you need more of a throat hit, perhaps going to a higher PG will do you well. I started off as a 20pg/80vg vaper, and when I started with 50/50 I found it too harsh at first. Now I don't think I could even vape 20/80 anymore unless I was just chain vaping it all day. The throat hit isn't there anymore.

This may sound a bit strange, especially since you already have mods, tanks, etc.....but buy new hardware. It doesn't have to be anything high-end, but many people get re-energized just by switching it up a bit with something different, and new.

Agree with this. New hardware can hit better, but also peaks your interests up as it starts to become a hobby. You might have to learn a thing or two, but it's fun and works better than beginner stuff.
