Vaping on MacDill

Hi all.

I was talking to the guy at Tampa Vapor in S. Tampa and found out that the PX wasn't receptive to e-cig sales. I thought that this could be expected since the feds haven't really bought off on the whole vaping thing yet. That being said, I wanted to know how many people that work, or are affiliated with the base (military/veteran/civilian) are into vaping. I know that there are at least 4 people in my office that vape. I haven't heard of any negative sentiment toward vaping, and the people in my my office haven't received any grief from the brass either.

I'd like to know what other people here have to say.

Welcome to ECF!! I am retired USAF and work as a contractor on Hurby, Eglin, and Duke Field here in the panhandle. I have been using my e-cig/mods at work and haven't had a problem. I am not around that many active duty folks though so not sure how any of the higher ups would view it. I did hear that e-cigs were going to or have been added to the Tobacco policy for some services/agencies/bases but not sure how true that is as I have yet to see any of the regs. So far I haven't had any problems but I have not been looking for any either. Hope that helps.

Thank you. Yeah, I was just curious if anyone knew of anything, since the first time I heard something was when that guy mentioned it.
