Has anyone vaped so much that it made them feel sick? I know that sounds like a stupid question. Ive vaped before for several months but didn't stick with it. I decided to give it another go and have been back at it for about a week. It's a low nicotine level, 3mg. Maybe its because I haven't totally given up smoking. Idk

Hello and welcome to the forums!!!! Just like above said is how I feel as well about it. What I did was when I wanted a cig, I would puff on it for a little bit and try to hold out longer for your next smoke. I did dual use when I first started for 3 and a half months before I transitioned completely over to vaping. Each day I would usually smoke 2 cigs on break and 3 during lunch. For morning break I would smoke a half of a cig, vape for about 10 minutes then finish the cig before going back in. At lunch, I would smoke one, then vape for 15 mins, then smoke another. After work I would just vape because stress was gone after the work day. I still had about 10 more but in between I would vape to try and cut back. Each day I slowly transitioned to a half a smoke during morning and 1 full during lunch. It got easier everyday as time went on and the cigs ended up tasting like crap the more I vaped. By the time I was almost done, one when I woke up was the hardest, I saved getting off of it for the weekend. Each day I would hold off longer and longer. Took awhile but I finally got it to be a dinner smoke and it was easier to just quit because I did not need the after dinner one. Good Luck on your Journey!!!! Any questions, do not hesitate to ask as there are plenty of wonderful people here willing to help out when ever we can. You Can Do it!!!!

Couple of thoughts:
- it could be, as Storm says, that cigs+vape means you are getting too much nic. But it could also be that you are vaping too much to compensate for the low nic liquid.
- it could be the flavour you are using. Some super-sweet liquids can get a bit sickly over time. Maybe go back to a more simple tobacco or mint taste?
- I'm sure I'd heard that some people don't get on well with high VG liquids.
- I sometimes get nauseous at high power settings with big clouds, maybe the irritation causes a sick feeling?

It's certainly worth persisting, as it's a good way to get off cigs altogether. Maybe look at a lower power device - either a pod mod or a more simple kit (I really like the Innokin EZ Watt), a more simple flavour, more PG than VG and maybe a higher nicotine level - 12 or 18 (or even a 20mg nic salt). Lots of variables and we're all different. Keep at it and I'm sure you will find what's best for you.

It could be that you are getting too much nicotine as others have said. It can be something of a conundrum, as it's hard to "sort everything out" when you are still dual using. 3 m.g. is low, but for me, sub0hming didn't agree with my system. It just overwhelmed me with too much vape period, although I did start out at too high a nicotine level. Even at a lower level though, especially as I was transitioning, the sheer volume of vapor was overwhelming and I never felt "great.." My respiratory system was pretty much shot when I started vaping, though. I did much better in the beginning strictly MTL and I really don't vape anything lower than 0.5 coils (and not all the time, either).

You could try reducing your nicotine in your sub0hm device, or you could try restricting airflow/wattage a bit to see if it helps. It might be worthwhile getting an inexpensive MTL topper to put on your setup (something like the Nautilus 2, it has 1.8 and 0.7 coils) and perhaps the 0.7 coil might be a good place to start? It's "slightly sub0hm" but the way the tank is built means that primarily, you will be inhaling a MLT "hit" where the vapor pools in your mouth, and you then inhale it. You may need higher e-liquid in that, but because the volume of vapor would be less, you may not get nic sick in any case. That would be the most inexpensive (but still decent, and a good tank) way to try out MTL vaping and see if it suits you better.

With a MTL vape, you can also vape more frequently, and that may help with your cravings and cigarette detox, as it's fairly normal to chain vape while transitioning, as it feels like a "crutch" or something to "help" with those detox symptoms and etc. I'd say try 6--9 m.g. given what you are vaping now, but you may be able to go higher.

Best of luck, switching can be difficult and frustrating, and many folks don't land on the "right" device initially, but overall the savings are cost effective once you find the right device for you. So, don't give up, and some dual use is pretty normal in the beginning.
