It's no problem for me. I vape almost continuously on my drive to work :) I doubt the auto will be significantly easier. The push button becomes second nature in ~10 minutes.

The draw, the expected vapor etc. is different with an auto and you may get more distracted using something different.

My take.

However, you might consider a passthrough if you drive a lot every day!

I do not own a 510, but for me, smaller means more fiddly and easier to lose.
YMMV, but I'd give the ego's a try first.
After using them, going to a 510 auto may be like going to an ultralight cigarette.JMO
(Never smoked ultralights either)

I drive with my manual ego's all the time. No big deal. After a short time it becomes habit, you don't even think about it.

Me too, and I drive quite a bit. I also drive a stick-shift vehicle, shifting is also second nature. :)
For long drives I make sure I have at least one pre-filled carto on hand so I can switch over while driving; I haven't graduated to tanks yet. :)

I use a manual ecig battery and drive a car with manual transmission. I also use the small m401 ecigs, I keep it in a leather lanyard hanging around my neck. Sometimes as I start to vape, situations arise that I must shift the car, and can just drop the ecig, no worries of losing it with lanyard. The only thing I find to be a pain in the .... is refilling the liquid when on the highway, responsible thing is to pull over to do it if driving alone. Tank systems may be the way to go, but I don't know of anybody that uses them to know how well they work.

Whatever you do, do NOT drip and drive.... A passthrough would probably be best. Just plug into your lighter socket and you don't have to worry about the battery running out OR losing it. It may call some attention with the cord hanging down. If that bothers you, just get a kgo or similar to make sure you will have enough battery life. I would not recommend auto, manual is really easy to use and the auto may go on if you are driving fast with the windows down....

Good Luck! P.S. A 5v pass through can be had for a bit over $10! Just attach a full carto and you are good to go!

For work i have to drive around a lot and was wondering if a auto is more easier while driving, or if there is not much of a difference. I ordered two manual ego batteries already. I was thinking i could order a 510 auto kit just for driving. I drive for a max of 2 hours in any direction and local stop and go for service calls.

I'm driving in my car 10 -12 hours a day and ONLY use manual batteries. I can't see how or why manual batteries would be an issue.

I have a manual battery with cartos. Just make sure the cartomizer is topped off before I get in the car.

Lanyard keeps it handy.

Big bonus: No more "dropped lit cigarette/cherry falling off" exciting moments :D

...or burning the the headliner or side pillars:)

I bought a passthrough a few weeks into vaping, and its made vaping in the car a lot easier. I have a small cig lighter adapter with a USB slot so I just keep the cord plugged in all the time. I keep a set of vape gear in the car; attys, ejuice, carts...etc. I usually plug in the passthrough before I get out of the car so when I return it is fully charged and I can unplug it to use while driving. I use both ego mega cartridges/attys and the ego tank system. I usually fill a few cartridges of each before I start driving. Its pretty easy to swap them out while on the road. I admit that sometimes I fill cartridges while on the road, but do not reccomend it. I almost found myself in a ditch the other day. I would say that the dangers and difficulties in vaping and driving versus smoking and driving are about the same. Except that there is no chance of throwing a lit e cig out the window in the heat of summer and causing a grass fire.

There's not much of a difference. I have an auto and a manual 510 battery. You're already holding the battery, so pushing the button with a finger isn't really much different. I use whatever I grab when I'm out the door. It's all pretty much the same, except my manual battery performs a bit better. Just make sure you have sufficient cartos (or whatever you use) for the trip.

Oh, and don't drip and drive!
