Hours every day I sit in front of a Sony L-Series All-in-one, with a (nice) 24" touchscreen. Every time I forget to blow my vape vapor over to the side, and just blow it forward, the screen acts as if it had been touched ! My liquids are 90% glycerin, 10% water, but this was happening with commercial PG type juice as well.

At first I thought my computer was haunted or defective! It's crazy, I can activate it just by blowing, but the results are of course unpredictable. Frequent random events are: the foreground window being replaced with another one, and the font size changing in a web page.

Can anyone 1) propose a good explanation of the mechanism and 2) suggest a way to prevent this? Thanks!

I'm just taking a wild guess but it might be the combination of the heat of the vapor and (not trying to be rude) your breath. From what I've noticed, touch screens rely on the combination of heat coming from your fingers and pressure.

Noticed that when I try and use my ipod touch or cellphone while using gloves. It made it hard to move through the pages and activate whatever. You might wanna try not sitting so close to your monitor and seeing if that has any effect.
