So I have a question. I have not drank any alcohol except one beer yesterday since vaping. Now my son was all gun hoe on vaping but he turned 21 yesterday and guess what he bought a pack of analogs when he went to the bar. I don't want this to happen to me. I have a Christmas Party coming up the first week of December for my work. I have always smoked more analogs while drinking then when I am not. What did you people do to make sure you don't go back to the analogs?

Peace,

Mushroomie

we all encounter these tests while trying to quit smoking ... don't dwell on it too much.

Just bring your vape gear to the party and have a good time ... if you try one or two smokes during the party, it is no big deal.

You will get back on track ... my guess though, you pick more of the vape over the smokes and a good time will be had by all

Good Idea, kind of do a opps upside your head right? I am thinking about maybe buying a small bottle of stronger nicotine also. I use right now 11mlg of Nic. My son smokes 18 and I just think its to harsh to me. I have no clue LOL! So new to this! And my son was the one to get me started. I just wanted to kick his .... when I found out. He was my biggest supporter!

Vaping while drinking has one huge benefit over smoking. You can vape all the time without waking up wishing you could detach your throat and run it through the washer.

Yep. Both times I've picked up vaping I put down analogs "cold turkey" in a manner of speaking. Haven't had one per the image in my sig. I am a social person, I drink out with friends often but I can and have used my PV and tanks with no ill effects, just the benefit of not waking up the next morning going "who shoved a pineapple down my throat last night?" It's a good thing :)

Yes, I fall for this most every time until I bought 24mg juice for when I drink. That is the key. Get something double your strength and you'll be good to go. Plus you'll probably start a LOT of conversations when you go outside and join the smokers. They'll be smoking nasty analogs while you enjoy nice clean flavors. They'll go back in smelling like crap, you'll go back in smelling just fine :)

You got this :)

You could consider taking some drinks before the party, and by that, I mean in November, or this week. Perhaps this would help you realize how easy it is to only vape and imbibe alcohol. It'll be a test for sure, but like post #3 says, smoking a couple one night is no big deal. Getting back on track is easy.

Other very easy solution is drink soda at the Cmas party.

I don't think stronger nic will
Make a difference. It's not the amount of nicotine you're consuming. It's about the act. Make sure you have a back up battery. That being said, I still smoke a cig or two when I drink. It's my biggest down fall but hey, a cig or two a week is better than a pack and a half a day.

Drinking was my biggest obstacle to quitting smoking.
The first time I sat at a table and got drunk at our Friday night poker game with a bunch of smokers and didn't smoke was when I realized I was actually free from cigarettes.
Make sure your device is working good, take a spare, and extra liquid.
Think of it as a test.

I'd suggest upping your nic while you're out - if you can snag some of your son's 18mg. After a couple drinks, you might not even notice the harshness. And I dig a little menthol with a beer, the throat hit helps me out.

And honestly, a general consensus seems to be, 'don't beat yourself up over an analog or 2; eventually, you'll realize you prefer the taste of your vape, and just the thought of a stinky will make you gag.' Don't stress out, and don't feel like a cigarette invalidates any of the progress you've made so far. And don't worry; your son will make the switch, or it won't stick this time. You can't force it, it has to be his decision.

Either way, vape on.

Keep a couple cigalikes handy! Nobody might notice; you might not even notice!

The greatest thing about vapeing means that a relapse doesn't mean you've completely fallen off the wagon. You can easily go back to vapeing. If you are only smoking a couple cigs here and there, it's much much better than smoking what you were before.

Dual-use is not a popular answer to one who doesn't want to ever pick up a cigarette again.

That being said, there were, and may again be, certain occasions that I will participate in that practice. I can recall a half dozen times in the last 2 years.
