Folks, do those of you who own any one of the DNA40 clones get a temperature protection message? I don't seem to get one no matter what I do. Even if I fire on brand new and dry wick at 40 watts at a temperature limit of 200f. I can see the temperature being limited by the board, but I don't get the temperature protection message. Ever. Unfortunately, I am not sure which clone variant I have.

I am am new to ECF but not new at all to vaping. So yes, the build is fine and I am using Ni200 wire and the coil is properly spaced at 0.12 ohms.

Thanks!

Rao.

has anyone ever tried to dry burn the cotton while in TP mode and you actually see the burn marks?

I have. It's tricky. If you get it right, the cotton/rayon will not burn. If you don't, it will. I have noticed that the coil obviously needs to be cold (like it will be if it's new), and it takes a few vapes to get the temp contol working right. It will also depend upon how tight your wick is in the coil (funny?:D). If it's too loose, then temp control will be wayward.

Just my newbie experience with the DNA 40.
