I feel you on the headache hun, been sick in bed for the last few days with the flu. Take an advil or two.

Nickel plated brass is better than pure copper, makes sense since copper is quite an expensive raw material. I wish Kangxin just used stainless steel! It's cheaper than brass or copper and it's more durable for threading. I would've bought 3 of them and moved on by now if they just stuck with the original design of the VF. Thank you for relaying our concerns to the Chinese manufacturers, you're a big help. Keep us posted!

Yeah everyone pretty much agrees that they would have preferred SS however, I have to believe that there is reason that Kangxin went this route with Brass, and I think it may have to do with their chip .. I think


These are the pictures that I received last night from Limwell and Comcig, which Waidea confirms they sent to those companies. Also see a copy of the skype convo with Summer immediately after, and pay close attention to Summer's reply when I questioned him about those awful battery caps .. I am not saying that we should take Summer at his word because he has been a bit misleading up until this point. I am just saying, that perhaps these are not the battery caps going out as the final version.

The rest of that unit urgly at all. But it's gonna weigh a ton if the body is milled stainless. Also, looks like it's not quite 1:1 on the 510, the pictured unit appears to just have a flat stainless plate with no channel/

Also, had to chuckle at that bottom right picture, it's been awhile since I've seen a top coil clearo with external wicks actually being used.

Pretty sure it's threaded to the ~22mm base on top and then hit with hot glue. Should be room for a lower profile floating 510. Might even be able to get a Fat Daddy V4 full sized in there.

I think I want to swap the 510 connector on mine. Either the pin is slightly misaligned or something I screwed in made it misaligned. Wonder if a floating 510 from Fat Daddy or someone else would screw with the temperature control

That one pick is hard to make out clearly, but I can see the single channel on the top plate ... this is turning into a mystery box. I don't see how they could have been promoting with clone and using the authentic to do it, and produce anything less. So I am really hoping that this is the "test unit" for the chip that they are sending out to gain interest.

Not sure how it happened, or whether the device was in use while it happened. I only know that my friend vapes in Kanthal mode only.

I don't really see why people are so concerned about brass 510 threading. Maybe it is just because SS is the standard on regulated mods but copper and brass are par for the course on a lot of mechs. Copper can be a pain sometimes but mainly due to the fact that it tarnishes and looses connectivity so fast and is pretty soft. As far as durability goes i have an old brass panzer with brass threading that i have beat the everloving crap out of and the threads are still nice and smooth. I have roughly cranked down atties countless times on it and still have no issues. So really i don't see that as even an issue outside of people that want the looks to be spot on. Won't be surprised if a few of the first run of units turn out to be defects as far as chip goes, that is really to be expected with virtually any regulated mod at this point. If it becomes the standard then that is when it is an issue.

Anyone check out the Hana Modz DNA 40 clones? Does the temperature control work as good as the Kangxin chips? I might buy one to hold me over until I decide on a good VF clone.

To answer your question, yes the 510 connection is the same single slotted 510 as the authentic. I will post the pics later with a clear shot of the display screen too.

What can I say, you left me hanging & I needed to see! Punishment is right. I give you so much credit for your patience with these people. I just want to reach through the cell phone all the way to China, grab them by the neck, & scream ANSWER MY QUESTION!

This doesn't look like its the same manufacturer as the two Kangxin, I know evkoo's customer service has been rated as bs by some but the mod does look good if its not the original and a viable option for some myself included with a little more details provided.

This doesn't look like its the same manufacturer as the two Kangxin, I know evkoo's customer service has been rated as bs by some but the mod does look good if its not the original and a viable option for some myself included with a little more details provided.

I'm suspicious of that one, it indeed looks like a real V3 Vaporflask and packaging in the pictures, right down to the battery safety flyer, travel pouch, bubble wrap and the box with "Silver" sticker on the side.

First, those are pics of the authentic Flask that Waidea has been using in all of their promotional photos since November .. so that is not even a picture of an actual clone. I would not trust Evokoo at all. They have a bad habit of running pre-sales for devices that have never been in their possession, nor arranged through the manufacturer. Case in point .. the SXmini. Back in October they were running a pre-order for this while they had ZERO chance of ever getting it. Yihi does not supply to any Chinese vendors, and they have made it clear that no Chinese vendor will ever be supplied the SXmini for sale.

Yihi actually contacted Evokoo and threatened them with a lawsuit if they did not take the listing down .. right now there is a statement on Yihi website for the SXmini completely denouncing Evokoo as well.

And aside from that, I am in constant contact with the Waidea, who that photo belongs too, and they have verified that there are no resellers that have actually received their clone yet. So .. scratch Evokoo off your list.

Yaay! Thank you for that great response. Boo!! to them for being the number one hit on google when you look up vapor flask v3 clone. Quite misleading but Im glad you cleared that up for me, I dont have money to make mistakes and buy the wrong mod I can wait for CNY... Hopefully

Thanks for posting! I just don't have the patience to get this kind of information out of Summer and others. You are my hero my dear!

I Only managed to get the bottom 2 pics. To tell you the truth I find myself liking the unfinished stainless pics more than the anodized versions. Love to see what an all brushed stainless steel version with proper buttons, polished single slotted 510 and polished Stainless flush slotted Battery caps would look like . Think it would look pretty sweet but admittedly far from 1:1.

I'm sure it is the quality of the published pic but even magnified to 400%, I don't see a slot at all, but if you say it is there I have no doubt it is! Sure you left out the next 45min - 1hr of Skype Chat because I don't see any thing about the fire button or any kind of answer from Summer about when he is planning on shipping you the sample.

Great work--and I know it is hard work!
