There's nothing wrong with the board IMHO, same crap will happen with an Evolv the way those yahoos are testing things.

It was ordered during the holiday and said registered air mail. It doesn't appear to be registered nor did I think it would be coming by boat although a boat may be faster than some of my FT orders.

The one thing about those reviews that worried me was the last guy that was going crazy... about his unit not working correctly temperature wise. Several times he made the statement that he had the "Screen Garbled" problem also.
I was surprised to here that one he just got still had that problem. That concerns me more than the fact that he was able to turn cotton into charcoal.

I'm with you Croak, i just tested my wife's VF from 3fVape 12 wraps, 3mm, spaced coils, not a burn one on the cotton not until i hit 460 did i get a little burnt spot on the cotton. I'm no expert on these temp control devices, but I do a lot of homework on these things. I buy them she vapes them and myself... lol
But maybe we got lucky and got a good chip, but we have had this for about 3 weeks now and only issue we have had is the bottom button pushed loose into the case. 3fvape is looking into what they can do for it and will get back to me.
So from my experience this VF is great, with a tweek here and there.
The big thing most of these dweebs are not taking into account is that 420f, or 450f, or whatever, is not some magic number. They also need to realize that how they build, and what they build on, makes a big difference, and like Evolv says, even a 0.01 inaccuracy can throw temps off by as much as 40 degrees.
And if they're cocking around with an atomizer that's mis-calibrated, it could be off by hundreds of degrees.
Finally, people who shall remain nameless have a huge financial or at least emotional interest in seeing the Chinese fail at this, plus "fail" videos get a lot more hits than "doesn't fail" videos. I don't always wear a hat, but when I do, it's tinfoil.

I think the chip works fine as far as TC goes, I think that there is a big window of what can go wrong with TC at the moment as there are a variety of resistance issues with build wiring and atomizers that need to be sorted out prior to trying to use a TC rig.
for what its worth it seems to me that these things are looking very good, largely from the impressive lack of issues reported here and elsewhere. There will always be bum units and failure of QC but it looks like kangxin pretty much have it under control with this product..just my $0.02..

Completely off topic but I just saw a repass of the movie shrek (you know, the one with the donkey and eddy Murphy's voice singing "Who let the dogs out?") in the restaurant where I went lunch and I wonder what ever happened to that guy (Eddie). Never saw him in another movie again?

i was just wondering what the differences were between the Kangxin flasks with the usb and the ones without were?
mainly the missing usb port
though the flasks w/o usb were released earlier so there might be a chance that these have earlier revision boards built in.
ah, got it. thanks got a chance to pick up one without a usb locally for about 55 bucks but i already have one ordered with usb from focalecig that i ordered 02/24 and i'm still showing "processing" on the order track. looks like they haven't gotten stock yet. just debating if i should go ahead and buy the one i can get my hands on or if i should keep waiting for the on from focalecig
