Took 26 days for mine to get from China to Australia from 3fvape, I had pretty much given up on it as shipping had not updated for 3 weeks before it turned up and that was with the extra express shipping option. FT e-packets are usually at my door within 7 days, no later than 10 from Shenzen.

I think 3FVape takes the money for the extra shipping then puts it on the slow plane anyway, That is the only way to explain why it is taking so long for a lot of peoples packages to arrive when compared with other companies that have the same shipping options, ie, fasttech.

17track will tell you when it left China. The rest is probably customs.

3FVape uses the same shippers FC and FT use. There's no "discount" e-packet service, no air option they could use that the other sellers don't also use.

And do keep in mind that Feb/March is a crazy, unpredictable time to get anything out of China. They're still sorting through backlogs and training up replacement workers in Shenzhen since up to 30% of the workforce quits and goes back to their home province after Spring Festival.

And customs world-wide is also dealing with the huge dump of pre and post-CNY shipments.

Took me a month to get my first VF from 3FVape thanks to CNY. My replacement will be delivered tomorrow, exactly two weeks after it was ordered. And I'm still waiting on a FT order from January.

the sad thing about this is that i could probably order from focal now and it would show up here earlier than the one from 3f.

been using grade#1 30ga TI Exclusively on my DNA40's, i just double or triple the wire and spin it in my drill then wrap my coils.......both my dna40's seem to like the .22 to .26 range and the coils last forever and no coming loose or jumping resistance.....i use rayon (cellu) between 370 & 380F; chuckin vapor.
if your interested scroll down about 3/4 of the page and look for this "25' roll - 30ga - Grade 1 CP Titanium".....i think there is a 2 roll min, i bought 6
https://theringlord.com/cart/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=123&cat=Titanium+Wire

i tried NI and did not like it a bit, just to much dang trouble, just my :2c:
Careful. You should warn the potential user that titanium isn't the intended material to be used with current TP devices and that the temperature settings will be quite off.

A warning regarding titanium dioxide would also be nice so that the user can read up things, post his concerns if he has them and then start using Ti.

Having expressed all legal issues, my Ti should arrive this week :D

There is a free shipping option and an express e-packet option. 2 Fasttech orders arrived before my 3fvape order and one of them was ordered and shipped 16 days after.

I actually have 2 of the package labels still here, the latter FT one says ePacket in big writing at the top and that got to me in 7 days, the 3fvape just has a generic china post label on it that took 26 days to get to me. I paid for epacket from 3fvape which this def is not.

What did 3FVape say about this when you asked them? Have they started a shipping investigation? Sometimes customs will impound if duties are due but I would think they would have notified you unless the inspector really liked it & brought it home.

I know I waited a month for my Kangxin flask from 3FVape which shipped on 2/6/14 & was received on 3/5/14. Again I got caught up in the CNY backlog. I notice customs is taking forever here in the USA lately.

that is why you turn the temp down 80 to 100 degrees, try the burn test for yourself, there are no proven negative studies on grade #1 TI at these temps.....which personally i think is a much better vape and the wire is 99.7% pure....say what you want i'm living it, also at the temps we are using titanium dioxide inhalation doesn't even enter the picture unless your vaping between 600 & 800 C........there are quite a few ECF vetrans who also use this wire...have a good 1

edit: i welded with Titanium for several years and never wore a respirator and i've suffered no ill effects from it and those were some high temps, far as i'm concerned using TI wire to vape with is safer than smoking ciggs any day of the week.

You missunderstood me or maybe I wasn't clear in my comment.

I have nothing against Ti, actually I find it a great idea and I'm jumping on that bandwagon myself.

Point is, the user just appear from nowhere, asked a question that has been popping up on several threads in the past months (indicating he's probably not very active on forums) and you immediately suggested Ti without stating once it was an "alternative" method nor mentioning that there was some controversy around using it.
Imagine that that user follows your comment blindly without doing his homework or reading anything else out there. Do you think that, based on your reply he will have a great out of the box experience?

If we want Ti to be a real alternative and want companies to start including Ti as another material / option in their board's firmware then we have to be open about things and just state what we know.

Just look at the 'mystery' ESG Titanium drama. It's when one isn't upfront with things that matters get out of control in no time :)

Still friends? ;)

no offence taken, but anyone using such a device as the DNA40 should have already done there own home-work and educated themselves on such matters, i'm not one to post inaccurate info, my home-work has been done...have a great day.

Yeah, they should but many don't :(

You know how many people have set up their first nickel coil on a sx mini and just pressed the fire button and then get surprised their wick burns to ashes before actually reading the manual and setting the base resistance first?

Never said your post was inaccurate. I said it was rather incomplete. Pointing him to a Ti thread at the end would have been more than enough. :)

Anyway, it's not a big deal. He probably already went to do some reading (or maybe not... We can't be guilty of not trying).

Have a nice day too :)

I don't know about that Sando. There's a bit of a boom on temp controlled mods at the moment since the cost barrier has moved down so low, and that means a lot of first time users who don't understand, or only skimmed some of these massive threads on the subject. I see it here, I see it on the SX Mini M Class thread, etc.

Temp protection, just like sub-ohm vaping, has moved from the realm of experts and hobbyists to the mass market, even though neither the tech or the mass market is really ready for it.

Now should these new folks have done their homework? Of course, but to assume they did is the wrong approach, or at least, it runs counter to the spirit of ECF.

Hey guys, can you tell me if this titanium wire is the right type? 'grade 1'

http://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/products/GR1--Grade-1--Titanium-Wire-.html

Wire and Stuff sell lots of vaping wire but haven't put Ti under that category, but that could be because it's still a new concept.

Sorry if this is already discussed, I'm on the road and can't easily research lots. I was trying to put together my latest wire order when I realised Crazy Wire Co carried Ti.

And don't worry yes I will read all about it before I use it, if I do :) for how just need to know if I can get it from my usual supplier.

Thanks

Seems to be grade 1 Ti but the sizes are a bit off for what we want... the smallest they have is 21g which is just... HUGHE? :)

Try Zivipf in Germany... has certified grade 1 and grade 2 Ti in various sizes (30, 28, etc) and I bet it will come out cheaper with postage and everything ;)
