I know this isn't ipv4 thread but I know a lot of you guys have one. I am looking to get another mod soon. Debating on ipv4 or another SXK chip mod. I really like my flask with SXK CHIP once u get used to the glitches. But IPv4s are coming down in price so I was looking at those too. Any thoughts, comments?

Got mine when they first came out. Screen sucks big time. Good luck seeing it outside of your home unless you do what I did. Other than that it's a rock solid wattage/temperature control device. Awesome battery life in temp mode. Two full 10 hour work days for me before I have to change the batteries. To remove the mirrored finish from the screen I used Goof Off solvent and one of those green scouring pads. Only took 5 minutes. Worked so good it looks like there's nothing protecting the screen. Crystal clear plastic.

Received my SXK 60W silver Flask from Focal today.
Threads at the bottom already seemed to have been taken care of. Not sure if they did it at the factory or someone at Focal knew about it and unanodized them :)
I had the auto firing problem as well so I had to pop it open and put some hot glue on the battery spring. The batteries fit great and come out very easily, even with labels on them.

So the battery spring had made it's way above the plastic?

Well, it was visible but not really coming out through the hole. But worse, the plastic cover right below the 510 center pin was so thin that there was a tiny hole in it exposing the spring.
I just put a tiny dab of hot glue on it and covered the part below the center pin with a piece of gaffer tape. All's working fine now but I really think SXK should improve their quality control.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a thread/answer, I have two flask temp clones a silver with brass/copper 510 and a black one with ss 510 and noticed people saying that they get better battery life in temp mode, whereas I'm getting less and they seem to get hot using temp mode but not on normal wattage mode, batts last longer/don't get hot.
Thanks in advance.

I told Doris about the problems with the black, especially the threads, so it sounds like they might have pre-cleaned them. That's good news.

Not so good about the auto fire. The list of standard issues with the SXK grows day by day.. I will update SXK over the weekend about this, maybe they will improve it for future.

well just got a flyer about Vaporflask-by-Vapor Shark for pre-order...£175...I think not...Are they fricckin insane? Who in their right mind is going to go for that. It is Ecigstore UK but bloody hell...Maybe 3 months ago but that price point is delusional...isnt it?? I am dumbfounded. I was expecting it to be maybe £125 tops...175???? Really???

Im trying to open the top-cap of the Waidea flask to fix the shorting issue. I tried Torx T4 screwdriver but its not working, dont want to force it any further as it seems that it'll strip.
Should I try Torx T5 or do you suggest to buy a hex screw driver? For hex screw driver, the store carries one set that contains 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm bits. Which bit fits the hex screws on the waidea top cover exactly?

I think I might have *very slightly* stripped the hex holes while fiddlng with torx t4, and dont wanna take a second chance...

Would really appreciate your advise.

Most likely a T5 will work as good as a 1.4 mm hex.
Lets hear some more about your shorting issue.

Yup, they're seriously overpriced. Their next Flask will be $100 lower though. But still...
