DonnyX, where did u order that? Thinking I need one

On Etsy just do a search for vapor flask. They're handmade and you can get anything you want just takes a little longer. I ordered that one, but I told her I wanted a opening for the USB port. Some have them some don't but if you want one you have to ask her.

Thanks for clarification man. Judging from pics I assumed the later, sry everyone

No pro-blem-o Maverick,

I think a lot of folks assume clear anodized aluminum is bare aluminum. And by the way the anodized aluminum serface is generally pretty hard (don't remember just how much) but it is very thin and while it will put up with hand ware fairly well it will scratch reasonably easy. So it you are concerned about that the leather case would be a good idea.

That said it is like all the cases they sell for "Smart Phones" and such. The manufacturers go out of their way to make instruments that look like jewelry and to then put them in a case, for me, defeats the Mfgs purpose. If I have something of beauty I like to be able to see and appreciate it. However "not using protection" does have it's shortcomings..

I'd still like to find a rubbery silicon type sleeve so it's not so slippery and thick enough that it might protect it when I drop it on the concrete shop floor

Did you see the post someone put up of the flask they dropped to the concrete. It hit right on the edge of one of the battery ports. It just flattened the side of the port. Don't think he could even get the batter out.

I think you said you work in a machine shop you might want to give the heavy duty leather pouch posted above a good long thought.

I used to work in my fathers machine shop and there are so many things to reach out and get-ya

Yeah me too. I'm very surprised no one came out with one yet. But when they do I'll be right on it. [emoji6]

I know exactly what you mean. It's to the point that I am feeling guilty letting all my other gear just sit collecting dust.

Might have to visit the "Classified Section" and thin out some of my equipment.

I can help your other mods. Just send that evil flask to me, and I will punish (cough baby it cough) it for making you forget those other nice mods you have :)

Sorry to use this thread for this question, but the way I see it, this is the best place to ask.
If not, please move it to another thread, or delete the post.

I have bought a clone flask, and it works like a champ (I have never tried a real dna board, so can`t compare). Now, I really want a genuine one, but if I have to put 300 usd in to a AVP, I want the celsius option. Is it possible to get that from a dna 40 flask?
And are there someone who has tried both the genuine DNA 40, and the kx 40 d cloned dna 40? What is the maine difference in performance? The build quality in mine is spot on as far as I can tell. Is the genuine Flask body a quality build? What about wiring and solder inside?
I know, it is a lot off questions, but for me, it`s also a lot off money. :)
But then, I love the look and feel from The Flask. The celsius option is the most important thing here. :)

My Marsala VaporFlask DNA40 chip is a F/C chip. I have never used Celsius only F, but I have confirmed that the setting is operational in my VF. I do not have the clone, but I doubt the clone has any TP at all. Some Clones have high manufacturing standards, many do not. And within the same run there will be a wide difference in quality as well. If yours is working well, count yourself as fortunate,.

Just a heads up, I just ordered a Marsala VF from Vapeco | Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping, E-Juice, Mechanical Mods

Im hopping theyre legit. I don't find much information about them online other than yelp reviews and google reviews for their local store in Vegas. If anyone else wants to take the risk, theyre 1 of the very few places that still claim to have the marsala color. Vaperev has gunmetal and black in stock tho.
